Ugh, this stank. Literally. Yes, there was that impromptu shower in the infirmary, but it wasn't the same.

Penelo wandered up to the top deck, hoping for some air that didn't reek of bodies and booze. She spotted Winry and waved.

"Hello!"

She supposed it was stupid for her to hope that she could get through this privately. There really wasn't any other place she could do it. It would have been hard to get the barrel filled with water back down to one of the storage room, and with how cluttered her room was it wouldn't fit without the danger of spilling on one of her projects.

"Hello." she said a little more curtly than she intended. The usually patient girl hadn't be exactly what you could say kind with her crew ever since Isako had started this project. She knew it would be worth it in the end.

For now? Ugh.

Penelo took Winry's tone, the barrel of water, and the situation and came up with an answer.

"If you want to shower, Souji set up a sort of makeshift one in the infirmary," she announced. Poor Winry--this was not fun for anyone, but Penelo thought it was hard on most of the girls. Not Anko, obviously, and probably not Jenka.

...well shit. She wished she had known that before she starting lugging this thing around. It was nice to know for future reference though. There was not telling how long it would be before they could find a proper storm. She hoped that this wouldn't become a regular thing, they'd be better off getting more mages on the ship and using their magic to produce the electricity to power those batteries.

Speaking of mages, she knew Penelo was one, and she could probably do that sort of magic. A task like that would be pretty daunting for even a handful of people, though.

"Eh, already got this out here. Might as well use it, but I'll keep that in mind for tomorrow." she said with a small sigh.

Dimo was used to not showering for long periods of time. It was just how things went in the military. And the weather outside today looked promising for a storm--dark clouds on the horizon, with the faintest scent of electricity that hinted at thunder and lightning in a few days, at most. Doing guard duty was even more fun these days, since he was keeping a special look out for such things. He could smell a thunderstorm coming, and if he did well, he suspected that he might get a slightly larger share of whatever they made off of the captured lightning as a "finder's fee ( ... )

Winry looked over her shoulder when Dimo hailed her and shook her head.

"Was just lugging this thing back here. Oof." she leaned on the barrel and pulled off her bandanna to use it to fan herself which...didn't really work all that well but it was better than nothing.

Her seemingly perpetually cheery mood was somewhat soured, as was evident from the slight scowl on her face. Winry did not have heightened Jager senses, and quite frankly she had never really been good as predicting weather in general but ever since it was decided that they would actually be trying to find storms she had been acting rather paranoid and thinking that every small thing was a sign of the upcoming rough flight. The dark clouds overhead weren't doing much to quench that paranoia.

"Been a while, Dimo. How've things been?" she asked, trying not to let her ancy mood get the bets ofh er.

In an effort to make things at least a little easier on the first mate, even if she didn't want help with that barrel, Dimo removed his hat and used it to fan her instead. It was the sort that had a bill on the front, and was likely to be more effective than that bandanna.

Dimo went right into an answer without really pausing to consider his words. "Haz been all right, though qviet after all dot schtuff vith Doma," he admitted. "Vould have been nize to have at least a proper interrogation, really. Pipple dese days just doesn't know a goot vun vhen dey zees it." He had done more than his share of torturing in the old days, and he had yet to find anyone that was quite as good at it as he was sure that he had been. "But dis lightning business zeems promizing, und hopefully lots of fon, too." Dimo gave her a friendly smile. "Und hyu?"

Although he was already out on the deck - the inside of the ship was starting to smell, and at least the cool breeze made him feel a little fresher - it took Lavi a little while to notice Winry pushing her barrel.

Not entirely sure what she was doing with it, he nonetheless headed over to see if she needed a hand - it looked far too heavy for one girl to be lugging around. "Do you-" he started, trailing off as she stopped pushing. Too late, apparently.
"Uh, I guess I'm too late to offer to help you with that?" Unless she was just taking a breather before pushing it around some more, that was.
