Shiki stretched as she walked out on deck, the wind hitting her face. It'd been a while since she'd been up here and it always felt nice, especially when they were in the air.

Clutching a hand over her hat to make sure it didn't blow off, she started looking around, taking notice of all the skylife-

...wait a minute.

Was that...a man in nothing but a loincloth? Hanging from a balcony?!

For a moment Shiki just stared. She didn't think she'd seen anyone like that on the ship before, or maybe she just hadn't paid very good attention...

"Hey!" she finally exclaimed, still baffled. "What are you doing up there?"

While on his way to the kitchens for a snack, Sora had discovered a door he'd never noticed before. Curious as to where it led, he'd followed a stairway up from the second floor of the ship, and discovered that the stairs ran right up into the 'ceiling', ending in a hatch with a handle on the inside.

One which apparently opened right up from the floor of the deck. "A trap door. Awesome!" the brunette mused to himself, while peeking up out of the opening at the outside. Or to be more precise, at the person standing only a few feet away.

Opening the hatch further, Sora popped his head out and blinked at the girl (what was her name again? Shirley? No, Stephanie?). And just what was she staring at?

Following her line of sight, it was then that the navigator noticed the other individual.

"Is that guy gonna jump?!"

Yes, in fact, he was. Tarzan heard to two children and stared at them in confusion for a few moments. He came to a decision and jumped up and off the balcony. Skillfully and fluidly, he grabbed the robes and hard ledges on the way down until he landed in a crouch in front of them.

"Observing," Tarzan said, answering the girl's question with a grin. His face was suddenly inches from hers, taking note of all her features. Sliding back down into his crouch, he moved around both of the children, just watching them. They were different, in a way.

Tarzan pulled at the gravity-defying spikes.

Shiki hadn't thought of the possibility of the man jumping until Sora said it. In fact she almost screamed when Tarzan actually did jump but she didn't. She was too busy being awed by the way he made his way down.

"Oh?" she began, reflexively inching back just a little while he was close to her face. She watched him start to pull on Sora's locks. "Uhm...are you an actor or something?" She couldn't figure out why he was dressed like that, unless he was already getting in role for a new play or something.

"Ah--hey!"

Who the heck was this guy and why was he pulling on his hair? Sora instinctively jerked back a bit, regarding the stranger with an equally wide gaze.

Tarzan jumped back, hands and feet on deck and his muscles were tense. Then he regarded the girl.

"Act...or?" He repeated slowly, unused to the word.

"Yeah, you know..." she continued. "The people in the plays...?"

She supposed that if she had to explain what an actor was, he was probably wasn't one after all. Either that or he was really in character.

Okay, so, this was weird.

Sora watched the exchange for a moment, curious to see what the guy's response would be. The way he spoke made the navigator wonder about his grasp of language. "You've seen a play before, right?"

"What is... play?" Tarzan tilted his head, not understanding what was going on or what they were talking about. He straightened slightly, resting his hands on his knees, still crouched.

"People in play?" He said to the girl as well, a little belated.

He didn't know what a play was? Despite being on this ship? If this guy really was for real...well, it just became even more baffling.

"A play. You know...a story? With people telling the story by pretending to be the characters."

Man, this was weird. She looked over at Sora awkwardly. Maybe he had something to add or could explain it better.

Obviously, this poor individual had no idea what they were talking about. Sora returned Shiki's glance with a little shrug of his own--but, maybe he had an idea.

Stepping forward, he tried to explain, "It's like, if you hear someone tell a tale, and they add gestures and sound effects to make it better. Only instead of one person telling it, there's a whole lot of people called the 'cast'. A lot of the time they'll wear clothes to make themselves look more like their characters."

And here, he paused while glancing down at the stranger's--erm--loincloth. Scratching his head awkwardly, he added, "Err, speaking of, we probably oughta find you some."

Tarzan just blinked at them.

He had no idea what they were talking about. Well, sort of. Telling stories he knew well enough, but, this cast and wearing clothes to look like their 'character'? That went straight over his head.

"Clothes?" He tilted his head, looking down at himself and back up. "Why? I am fine."

Shiki scratched the back of her head, taking note of his expression. She supposed he'd have to see one for himself in order to get it.

She definitely agreed with Sora about the clothes though.

"Well...some people find it inappropriate to wear that little clothing in public. You might get in trouble." she tried to tell him in hopes he'd understand.

"If you don't have any, I'm sure we can find something. Or I can make some for you."

Nodding, Sora smiled in the hopes that it'd look more reassuring.

"Or maybe just some pants?"

"Get... in trouble?" Tarzan repeated. He still didn't understand the concept of clothes, well, more than what he was wearing. He'd been wearing something over his groin and backside because that was how Kala found him and assumed it was a human thing.

But there was more?

"I... do not have clothes," He said finally.

"Then we'll get you some! Maybe there's a costume in your size you can borrow for a while, Mr..."

It then occurred to her it was probably best to learn the guy's name already. If he had one that is.

"What's your name anyways? Mine's Shiki and this is..."

...actually, come to think of it, she couldn't remember Sora's name right now either, despite seeing him around and knowing she heard what it was once before.
