Jotaro stood there next to Star Platinum, holding in his greasy hands the Hamon Drive for his engine. The part didn't look damaged in any way. In fact, the only visible damage in the room was a wall that now had a rather massive, person shaped indent on it. There were steel girders that had actually BENT to whatever force had blown Jotaro back.

And he wasn't hurt.

"Uh... I think I broke it? It doesn't usually do this."

Kakyoin was staring at the damage with a dumbfounded look. What on earth could have caused this...? Hewas still staring as he replied, in an almost cautious manner.

"...Are you hurt at all?" He could see the answer to that was no, but he felt the need to ask it right now. "What were you doing when this," he asked, gesturing to the damage, "happened?"

"I was just... thinking," Jotaro answered simply. His hands almost refused to leave the object he was holding. His knuckles were turning white as well...

"Something doesn't feel right."

Kakyoin furrowed his brow.

"Something really doesn't feel right. What were you thinking about?"

He then looked to Jotaro's hands.

"You're gripping that really tightly...Maybe you should let go of it."

Jotaro blinked, his distant gaze suddenly turning back to Kakyoin, and then to his hands. He was holding onto the Hamon Drive as if it were his lifeline. Something didn't feel right. His head was swimming and his heart was beating incredibly fast. He broke into a cold sweat.

"I can't... let go."

Kakyoin moved closer despite the fact he felt more afraid than he had in a long time. This was definitely strange...Jotaro never acted like this unless something was really not right.

"Can't?"

Jotaro's grip tightened even further, causing some cuts in his hand to open up and bleed through. The pressure in his body was so much that he could no longer take it. It was going to happen again. With a great shout, Jotaro inadvertently released a wave of Hamon energy into the air around him, pushing back all of his tools as well as the plane itself. The Hamon Drive was undamaged...

...And standing over him, for the briefest second, was a ghostly figure. In the blink of an eye, it was gone.

Jotaro dropped the Hamon Drive and fell to his knees, panting heavily.

Kakyoin just stared in amazement. What on earth...Wait, that figure. He knew exactly what that was. Curiously, he moved next to Jotaro and summoned Hierophant.

"Jojo, look at me...can you see this?" he asked, motioning to his Stand.

"Wh...what do you mean?" he asked, giving Kakyoin an odd look. "I've... always been able to see Hierophant," he added in a whisper. He had just been very good at pretending before. He wasn't supposed to be able to see it. The Speedwagon scientists assured him he wasn't supposed to. So he "never did". Though why he was suddenly being honest now...

...Always. Kakyoin looked dumbstruck for a moment and then recovered. That meant...Had the ability just lain dormant for so long? He had no clue how to further draw out the Stand in Jotaro, but he would try anyway.

"This means...you've always...You've always had the same ability I did. Can you bring it out when you want?"

"I... I don't know," he said in a harsh whisper. He grabbed at his head and groaned painfully, unable to focus. His head felt like a thousand pistons were running at once full steam. There was so much noise and pain. He could barely tell where he was anymore.

Kakyoin went over to his friend and knelt next to him, putting an arm around his shoulder. He was more worried than he'd been in a long time and now he had a slight fear of being harmed by the uncontrollable Stand. He wouldn't ask any further questions and instead focused on comforting Jotaro.

Jotaro began to shake and convulse. His eyes steadily rolled back and he collapsed further. Hamon energy began to run through his body without control, and the occasional flashes of the ghostly figure could be seen. After a few seconds, though, he stopped and just... laid there.

He had no pulse.

The sudden dead weight forced Kakyoin to let him go, but not before he started to panic. There was no way he could carry Jotaro or even make it to the infirmary in time. He just sat there trying to figure out what on earth he could even do.

"Jotaro...stay with me, please. You're not going to die here...," he whispered, his tone shaking.
