Hibari headed back out into the mess hall his conversation with Shinji - the young pilot made it a point to avoid most of the people in the area, and settled in another one of the quieter corners in the room to eat his meal in peace.

Fixing the planes was in order, after a quick meal.

It was rather obvious from where the pilot sat that he had no desire to be disturbed, and Aizen, in his turn, had no wish to prod such a potentially useful man into action before his time. Still, the preceding conversation deserved a follow-up of some sort, so he proceeded in his unhurried way to where Hibari sat eating.

No preambles, only: "How are the planes?" A boatswain would be interested in asking, of course, and this pilot was such an interesting man in his own right.

At least he was straight to the point. Still, that he had come over at all was annoying enough.

"Slightly better."

After speaking with Aragaki herself, Tear had headed through the mess hall, searching for a more secluded area to eat. Although she wasn't disinclined to having her meal with other people besides her, she preferred a more sedated section, so she could have a moment to think.

However, seeing how the people had thronged into the area for the expansive meal, it appeared nearly impossible. Nearly, of course, was the operative word. After scanning the tables, she detected one that didn't seem too crowded. As she made her way over to it, she noticed two others situated besides the table close besides hers.

"Good evening," she impassively greeted, as she took her seat, "Hibari, Aizen."

Lawl. Okay, posting order from here on is Me --> Aizen --> Tear? icaruschmicarus February 25 2009, 03:51:59 UTC
...And even more people. He had thought that the crowding that had taken place in the hangar was more than enough.

Still, in as much as he wanted to show that he wasn't happy about it, the woman - Tear - was of a higher rank on the ship, and it wouldn't do to get kicked off the Silvana. Not while it intrigued him this much.

"Evening."

[OOC: Tear!mun, feel free to poke Byakips over at the hangar thread. Posting order is now: Me --> Byakuran --> Aizen --> Tear --> Mello. XD]

OKAY. LET US HOPE I DON'T GET CONFUSED. gazeintothesun February 25 2009, 05:09:55 UTC
Aizen shifted so he could quite comfortably accommodate Tear in the field of vision that already took in the face (irritated already, which amused him to no end) of the young pilot sitting across him. "Good evening, Ms. Grants," he said, returning the greeting with a pleasant smile and a nod of acknowledgment before picking up the thread of the conversation he had begun with Kyouya Hibari.

"Ah, that's good." He attended to his food for a few moments, raising a forkful to his lips, then added, "Was your friend able to assist with your difficulty?"

For a moment, Tear wondered if the two minded that she had decided to sit in relatively close proximity, as they had probably chosen to sit in that particular section for a reason. However, having not received any complaints or a discontent stare, she felt herself ease.

After their greeting, she fell silent, merely beginning on her meal as the two conversed. There was no point in intervening, nor did she find it polite to interrupt. She hadn't the slightest idea what they spoke about, but with the mention of 'difficulty,' she wondered if he was referring to the damaged planes situated within the hangar.

The matter was one of which reminded her that, even though they managed an adequate amount of repairs, it still wasn't nearly enough for every single vehicle.

"He's not a friend."

He didn't exactly get tired of saying it, but he certainly DID get tired of everyone assuming that he and Byakuran were more than just acquaintances. The white-haired freak didn't exactly help change perceptions on the matter either.

NNNNGH OKAY I NEED TO TURN ON NOTIFS FOR THIS POST DAMMIT gazeintothesun March 2 2009, 01:13:05 UTC
"I see, I see." The mildest of agreements, though perhaps the wry quirk of his lips could have been taken to mean that he thought the younger man was being rather more prickly than the situation warranted. "He did seem very much concerned for your well-being, at that."

Another forkful, and a slow smile of appreciation. This ship's crew ate quite well. He should probably extend his compliments to the chef afterward. It would be nothing less than polite.
