"Hey, you might want to get off the battlefield--not a good place for people like you, ya know?"
This speech was directed at Phoenix who nearly winded up in a bad spot just because of his actions just a short few moments ago--the monster recovered from the kick, ready to attack until he threw another energy blast into its face. Now, now, we can't be having that now can we?
"Your name, sister?"
What a time to ask a question right as the now surely weakening hideous beast made an attempt towards the two of them and he prepared to launch any energy spheres at it as well as make sure no one got hurt. If they did, though, he could always heal them.

"I'm sorry, is this your fight?" She asked. What a question, but one she wondered. Maybe she didn't need to be fighting and could wait for the monsters to be killed in her room? That thought blew away when the monster screamed and lunged at the two again. With no time to launch another attack, Egret hoped, and silently prayed, that the man who had blasted the monster had another trick up his sleeve.

When he saw the huge creature lunge, and the people it was headed for, he dashed forward as quickly as he could, breezing past the two of them at insane speed. He leaped into the air, turning about to deliver a back kick at the thing.
Logically, it should be impossible for one man to physically halt something so huge in mid-air. But then, Might Gai was impossibly strong. The creature howled as Gai's boot connected with its face, sending it back down to the ground again.

Working was no fun and neither was being useless, which was odd, because that is what it seemed that Dee would strive for. This was different, though. Those other assholes were obviously stealing her spotlight. Feeling a wave of confidence brought on by her sudden jealousy, Dee started shouting at the people running around on deck. "Oh, yeah, keep kicking it. That's obviously working."
Even the monster was ignoring her now. "Goddammit!" Picking up the closes thing to her -- some giant lead ball, what the hell was that for? -- and being unable to throw it, Dee rolled the ball towards the beast, hoping to at least trip it up.

She slowly, painfully got back up(as is how all good cures get back up) and looked around to take stock on the battle. Two bystanders, one reporter, one.... passenger. There was the man who blasted the monster, another with a gun, one who had knocked the beast down in mid-air, and a woman shouting commands at a cyan woman. I hope we can protect you all... she thought quickly, before jumping up again. She dove at the monster once again, avoiding it's hand this time, kicking it square in the jaw. Smiling in accomplishment, she landed just behind the strong man.

"Don't worry, sirs and madames," he said flashing his trademark grin and letting go with one hand to give a thumbs-up. "We'll have this wrapped up in a jif--WHOA!"
One of the thing's sinuous arms reached back and grabbed hold of him, pulling him off and then throwing him halfway across the deck.

Not so fast, bucko.
"C'mon guys, I think we pretty much got this one in the bag!"
The black-haired man wished that the people who were not able to help though had followed his advice--ah well, it couldn't be helped. Although he had wondered exactly why--as he was throwing another light magic spell of an energy blast at the monster--there was a tall summoned being who wasn't exactly all that helpful he would ask that question later.
"I suppose it is nice to meet you, Miss Cure--although I'm sure we could have met in better circumstances if ya know what I mean. You may call me Mr. H."

In reality, she was a nervous wreck, trying to comprehend what she was doing. Fighting a huge monster? Getting introduced to people from the ship? FIGHTING A MONSTER?! This was really not her day. She tried to calm down and think it was a dream, but it didn't work. She had to dodge too many times for it to be a dream. She flipped away from a slam from the monster's arm, and wondered what to do.

Picking up her journal one last time, Dee made a mad dash for the closest entrance to below deck. Unfortunately, her natural talent for showmanship did not mean that she had any grace at all. She immediately took a tumble and was falling face-first towards Garnet, who, while throwing her own little pity-party, Dee had forgotten she was standing right next to her. "Grraaaah!" was Garnet's only warning.

Great.
He darted back, headed towards the calls of the fallen women. He helped them each up. "Are you alright?" he asked quickly, before turning the summoner. "Can you get the ice off my gun? I don't think I'm doing any damage at all with my pistol." Though he spoke to her, he kept glancing back at the creature, keeping on eye on it. It was likely still dangerous, even slowed down as it was by the ice.

After he spoke and before he could even offer an answer to the girl's question, he saw a wave of ice blast into the creature which probably not only significantly weakened it but also slowed it down. By a lot.
"Well, a coupla' hits should do the trick if you ask me!"
Hanekoma said after throwing a concentrated sphere of light energy at the nearly-frozen enemy and he had momentarily cast his gaze upon the amazing creature Garnet had brought forth. The beast seemed to be on its last legs as it struggled to continue to fight all of them.

The monster clutched the ground in front of it, trying to inch itself ever closer to it's attackers. It let out a low growl of warning. Mai took the moment to try and calm herself and get a grip. "I hope you're right..." She said after a short panic-attack, once again looking in control.

Dammit, we're not making any progress at all! Not even Garnet's ice attack did much damage. Something needed to be done, and fast!
An idea began to shape itself in Phoenix's mind -- a wild, crazy idea, and one that he would probably realize much later was a very bad idea. But right now, something had to be done, and it was better than watching these people basically attack a brick wall, and stumble all over each other doing it.
It's insane, but it just might give us the opening we need to take lizard-face down for good!
His decision reached, Phoenix Wright took off down the hallway, headed for the radio room. He'd need help to get the ship up in the air....
