Characters: Heihachi, Shinji, Dimo, Souji, Gorobei [Closed] Content: Gorobei plans an outing, and he will behave. Setting: Farmer's market in Doma Time: Afternoon of their arrival in Doma Warnings: None expected, but...
Any mystery involving Gorobei and pie was one Heihachi definitely wanted to be involved in, although Gorobei's sense of fun was sometimes a little twisted. Still, even if Gorobei's assessment had been in jest, Heihachi did think he'd probably been a little too serious lately. Going back to Ivona had left him with too much to think about, and too much introspection eventually became counter productive. It was time to get his mind off things, and Gorobei was very good at providing immediate entertainment that kept you on your toes.
He found the man just outside the ship as expected, and the lack of movement made his lips quirk in a grin. "I didn't think meditation would be your thing, Gorobei-dono. You haven't been taking advice from Kambei, have you?"
"Sometimes," came a voice from behind, before Gorobei could even answer, "I wonder if we should all learn a thing or two from Kambei." Shinji came to a stop at the shorter man's side, hands burrowed deep inside of his pockets. "But then I think... nah~"
The blond had been a little wary of meeting Gorobei, because although he'd heard of the man, he hadn't been anticipating his major ego problem. He wasn't sure if it was all in jest or not, but Shinji was of the opinion that anyone with a bigger ego than him was either frightening, or worth meeting at least once. Besides, what could go wrong if pie was involved?
He hadn't heard any reports of monsters attacking, but it was the Badlands, so it was only a matter of time. Dimo was ready to have some fun, and it sounded as though Gorobei's plan was just the thing for today. It was good to be back in familiar territory, though. Why, only two hundred years ago, Dimo thought, he'd helped to sack this town and demand tribute for the Red Heterodyne...
Ambling up to Gorobei and Heihachi, he smiled and inquired, "Zo, vhat's dis about pie?"
Souji had spent awhile fiddling around with things once they'd settled into dock, and it was only by chance that he'd caught sight of the time and realized he was running late for the little excursion Gorobei had wanted to drag him on. He wasn't sure why, really, the older man had insisted, but he figured either way, it would be fun.
So it was a little belatedly that Souji came dashing down to the dock, looking every bit like he'd just come running from the engine room. "Sorry I'm late," he apologized to his assembled crewmates, "I got a little caught up in something."
