The distress call from Jushirou hadn't exactly surprised the enchantress, but her concern did pique as the message had abruptly come to an end, following an unceremonious crash. And that was never a good sign, was it? From the sound of it, in addition to the violent coughing, he'd lost consciousness or collapsed, and was quite possibly in a worse state than his entry had implied. Time for Yuuko to do her job, then, if duty was calling her from death's door.

Ryuuken had informed her of the call before she'd had a chance to access her respected journal, and she hurried as fast as her heels could take her, Tohsaka Rin in tow.

"I may need your help, should the opportunity arise, so keep on your toes, Rin-chan," purred the witch, eyes traveling briefly over her shoulder to address the younger girl.

"Got it." Rin replied with a nod. She kept her face as stoic and professional as she could, but she was worried. The message had not sounded good, and the instant she heard it, she had already begun gathering anything she might need before meeting up with Yuuko.

She just hoped they got there before things got worse.

With the two women in his wake, Ryuuken strode towards his destination. Upon reaching the man's quarters, Ryuuken wasted no time. He pushed his way inside, forcing the door if necessary, and took in the situation with a cold and professional eye, giving no outward reaction whatsoever. Instead, he knelt at Jushirou's side. It was the work of a moment to turn him over, supporting his back at a forty-five degree angle from the ground, and check his breathing. One hand darted to the silver-haired man's wrist, feeling for the pulse.

"How's his pulse?" the enchantress questioned, now kneeling elegantly on the other side of Jushirou. She made no move to touch the unconscious man, and instead watched her fellow doctor at work, eyes catching each movement of his hand. There was no use in touching him when Ryuuken had everything under control. Jushirou had called for her specifically, and so Yuuko had come, but she wouldn't intentionally get in the way unless asked.

After hearing the message left by Jushirou over the network the small helmsman had immediately left his own quarters and sprinted down the hallway towards the older man's. Other people were already there mainly the doctors so he stayed back brow furrowed in concern. He didn't want to get in the way, but also couldn't just stand there and wonder what the hell was going on.

Biting his lip Toshirou did his best to keep from rushing to Jushirou's side. He wouldn't do him any good getting in the doctor's way.

Rushing down the hallways with her packed bags in tow, Rangiku dash towards Ukitake's quarters as quickly as she could. As she turned the corner, she was rewarded with the sight of Toshirou standing near the doorway. Rangiku knew it was silly of her not to expect to see him there but she honestly didn't want their final moments together aboard the Silvana to end with such a sour note. Placing her suitcase and bags down upon the floor, the blond walked right over towards Toshirou and gently stroked her long fingers through his white mane.

"Do they know what's wrong with him, Taichou?" Rangiku asked.

Toshirou was so intent on what was going on in the room he didn't even notice the older woman's approach. Startled, the young man whirled as he felt someone running their fingers through his hair. Eyes widened and he took a step back and looked up. "Matsumoto!" He was surprised to see his old teacher. They'd hardly talked at all the entire time she'd been on the ship.

He felt ashamed that he'd let his pride prevent him for apologizing to her for his actions so long ago. "I.......I don't know." Toshirou replied in a small voice. He hated that there was nothing he could do for the person he cared about.

Unfortunately for Toshirou, he didn't realize that she already accepted his unsaid apology awhile ago. She was just giving him sometime alone aboard the ship, not wanting to pester him too much since she knew how much stress he was in. Rangiku knew that the best way for him to cope with things is for Toshirou to have some time to himself. It took all her willpower not for her to barge into his room and demand that he talk to her but Rangiku managed not too. Besides, its not like she is his teacher anymore and she knew she wasn't going to stay aboard the Silvana for long.

"Ne, he sounded so weak..." Rangiku sighed softly as she glanced over towards the doctors. After meeting Yuuko thanks to Gin, she knew that the dark-haired woman would do her best to help the sickly quartermaster. Yuuko is a good person in Rangiku's opinion. A tad mysterious here and there but she was sure that mage-like healer could at least elevate Jushirou's agony for a few hours or so.

"I really hope he'll be okay..." She mumbled.
