It felt a little odd being back in the city where she had first boarded the Victoria. Bellicus had been her home for many, many years, and it shocked Matilda to find out that for all the years she had been there, she hadn't really been outside the Academy. It was a shame when you thought about it, really. Bellicus was the most prestigious city in all of Ivona, which, perhaps made it the most prestigious city in all of Reial.
If this wasn't reason enough to go out and see it, the fact that she was getting cabin fever was.
Of course, to be able to do that, she needed one Tatiana Wisla.
Matilda was, perhaps childishly still feeling a little snubbed by her reaction to Edgeworth's orders to look after her, and at the same time she didn't want to make the pilot think even less of her than she probably already did. It was a strange combination of still liking her, while wanting to openly express her irritation, but at the same time wanting to be liked back. It was a rather unpleasant experience. The young prodigy was use to either liking or disliking people. Her relationships in the past hadn't really left much room for any middle ground, and with how few there had been she had never really found her bothered by someone she liked, nor impressed by someone she disliked.
Hence the reason she wasn't entirely sure how to approach Tatiana. She'd been pacing outside the older girl's room for about five minutes or so. One approach sounded pathetic, another one whiny, another one downright rude. It came to the point where she realized that she just had to ask--there really was no way to make this any less awkward, so she finally knocked.
