After wandering around Colvus, getting advice from Kambei (of all people), and buying more booze, Reno had wound up back in his cabin, sprawled in his chair. About halfway through his book (yes, he did in fact read), that annoying pink thing had floated in and refused to be moved from Reno's lap. And that was the only reason the two of them were sleeping together in the chair. The only reason.
