The cool breeze felt nice against the messy spikes that Sora claimed as hair, as it blew past the young navigator leaning against the railing of the Winding Way's deck. Which was where he sometimes found himself now; after spending days cooped up inside of the ship, cleaning and organizing and studying the myriad of maps available to him now, it was nice to have an afternoon all to one's self.
Not that he minded all of the work. Which he was very good at, naturally. And no, he didn't take an unusual number of naps for a boy his age in the middle of the day. . . despite what some people might occasionally imply. 'Some people' being, of course, his single co-worker.
"Whuuuuu--!"
Sora took a sip from the soda bottle he carried, then blew against it's lip until the glass produced a second, low whistle.
Adjusting to his new life hadn't been horribly difficult, but it was times like these when he could sit and think alone that he missed his home. Making new friends was great, really! And he valued everyone he'd come to meet as much as a person could, but still. . .sometimes he wished he could see someone familiar. His old friends, specifically, or his mom. Just to know that they were okay. Heck, he'd even settle for the mailman!
Sighing softly, Sora tipped the bottle to his lips again. When nothing happened, the brunette blinked and gazed down into empty glass. He hadn't realized he'd drunk the last bit several moments ago.
A small shrug was all that preceded the bottle being chucked over his shoulder, as Sora didn't even bother to glance behind himself as to where he was aiming.
