So the fact that he passed Vash's door was totally on purpose. Finding the flowers were not. He blinked, leaning down to theread the card.
The grin on his face was pure evil.
So was the girlish squeal that floated down the halls.
"BABY SHOWER!!"

That was when he happened to look down. The flowers only made him look even more surprised, and he scooped them up hastily, reading the card.
His face turned redder as he continued reading, until he'd reached the end and very nearly crumpled the card in his fist.
Vash's first thought was of seeing Ness and Joshua at the hotel last night. More unfortunately, the first thing he said was, "How could he?! That cad!"

"Oh man, that rat. Poor Ness~" He purred, winking. "I gotta tell the crew!" He hooted, taking off at a jog.

"Hey! GET BACK HERE!"

It never occured to him that he could be stomping toes with his joking. It really didn't.
He pulled up his journal, which he kept on a shoulder strap and waved it at Vash. "Maybe a public post would be easier~?"

He paused for a moment, making a show up pulling up his sleeves, then charged right towards Ryoji. Vash figured that, in a situation like this, trying to tackle a younger crew member was a perfectly acceptable way to deal with this problem.
It didn't even occur to Vash to just try ordering him to stop.

That was until he saw Vash dash at him. He squwaked like a startled bird and darted forward, going into a full out sprint. He was faster then most, but Vash had a head start. If he had any chacne of escaping, it would be close.

And then, when the time was right he leapt! ... and missed by a narrow margin. His fingers had brushed Ryoji's leg, but that was as close as he got. Vash hit the floor, face-first, actually sliding a little until he stopped.

Oh this was about to get EVEN BETTER.

He stalked slowly through the halls, uncommonly quiet now, only the faint squeak of his shoes against the wood sounding to give him away. He'd heard a door close; Ryoji couldn't be too far away. Vash just had to keep his ears peeled, and wait.

After all, what could Vash do to him? It was just a game after all~

He walked up to the door, pounding it on three times before trying the handle, giving it a little push. The door creaked open, slowly, showing Vash standing there right in front of the doorway, the lights from the hallway leaving the front of him cast in shadow.
"You're cleaning toilets for a month!"
Reply
"Heheh... hi?" He muttered, rubbing the back of his head and chuckling weakly.

"Hi." Smiling grimly, he reached out to grab Ryoji's scarf, stepping back to tug him out of the closet. "Now, are you going to keep quiet about this, or do you want to make it two months?"

So, it really was no coincidence that Ocelot had also headed for Vash's door, although his plans were much different from-and, possibly, more sinister than-Ryoji's.
Of course, as he'd arrived a smidge later than Ryoji, his plans were foiled for the moment.
"...What's this?" he said as he walked closer to the door, giving the young man a vaguely confused look.

Kyouya pressed himself to the wall to avoid collateral damage, merely watching as one pranced and the other rampaged down the hallway. He stared after them for a moment, and then picked up the scrap of paper that they had left in their wake.
"A symbol of our wonderful relationship together. See you next time I'm on the Winding Way, Vash. Signed, Joshua. P.S. Oh, and I suppose this is something you should know. Ness is pregnant," he read aloud, brows raising.
Well. That was answer enough.
