The jungles of Kagatau had remained untouched and untamed for as long as history told. Dangerous and not worth the effort were it's usual marks. The name itself derived from a man half-crazy, emerging from the island shouting "Kagatau, Kagatau!" over and over again.
As the Winding Way parked on the edge of the island, the entire jungle seemed to stir, watching their unwanted guests intently.
Sometimes there were places civilized men were never meant to tread.
