Hearing someone within the hanger bay, Yuna decided to wander in and investigate since she needed some time away from journalism. She was little disappointed about the chaos that ensued earlier, more or less worried for the people involved. The brunette barely knew Mr. Wolf other than what Giselle told her about the chef coming down with a flu and all but she certainly felt 'devastated' for the happy-go-lucky gentleman. Yuna isn't sure if Mr. Wolf intended to record such a post in his journal but now it's too late to fathom the 'What ifs' for the damage has been done. Rikku and her tried their best to simmer down all of the hateful comments being slung back and forth but Yuna soon gave up and retired from the massive argument.
That is, until she ran across Ichigo's father on the Network...
"Ichigo?" Yuna called out as she walked over toward to the plane, spotting the young man(he is no child if he is 22 years old!) working upon the small aircraft. She smiled warmly at him as she stepped down the stairs slowly wondering if Ichigo wouldn't mind her presence here.
"S-sorry about earlier..." She giggled shyly. "I hope I didn't offend you..."
"Wha?" issued a voice from below the plane. "Y-you! Ponytail! What're you doing down here?" He wriggled out from beneath it enough for his head and torso to stick out. He made a pretty comical picture, lying there on the ground, looking up at her. He wiped at a spot of grease on his cheek, but only managed to smear it further.
Giggling more as she gazed down at him, Yuna fetched a clean white handkerchief out of her short's pocket and knelt down to hand it to Ichigo. "My name is Yuna. Not Ponytail~!" She replied with a bright smile upon her face.
"Yeah, yeah." He slid all the way out, then stood up and took a second to stretch the kinks from his back and neck. He waved off her offer of a handkerchief, pulling his own rag out of his pocket and wiping his hands (which were rather dirtier than his face) on it. The cloth itself wasn't quite pristine to start with, so he succeeded in little more than spreading the dirt around. Oh, well, there were bigger things to worry about than dirty hands that would just get dirty again. "What? No, I don't know what you're talking about. What message?"
Trying to contain her laughter as Ichigo proceed to wipe his face with the much dirtier rag, she ditched the handkerchief and placed it back within her pocket. At least some of the oil and grime that fell on his face was off now, even if little freckles of dirty dotted his cheeks. "I sent you are message earlier when you left a letter to the entire ship, you seem kinda...sad." Yuna said with a warm smile forming as glanced over at the Zangetsu with a curious glance.
"That's your ship, right?" Yuna asked once she began to pace around the interesting aircraft. "She's a beauty! Or is it a 'he'? I know sometimes pilots like to give their machinery human aspects." The brunette grinned.
"What? Me? Sad? No way." Ichigo scowled, folding his arms. He wasn't sad, just....pretty damn embarrassed. Ah, well. You couldn't pick your family.
"Huh? Yeah, that's Zangetsu," he answered her question. He started, though, at her suggestion that it was a girl. "What?! N-no!! It's named after a mentor of mine. He...kinda showed me the ropes, y'know? This plane -" he rapped a fist on its side "- used to belong to him, before...." He trailed off.
"Oh, your mentor..." Yuna gazing at the airplane with a new found respect, she turned her bi-colored eyes over towards it's pilot. "He must have trusted you a lot to leave his ship with you." The brunette replied before gawking at the impressive black and white ship, noticing it is painted with more black than white.
"Amazing..." She mumbled before reaching her hand over to touch the smooth wing of Zangetsu as if she was patting the head of a child and not a inanimate object. "I always wondered what its like to control one of these planes, to be completely free..." Yuna chuckled faintly as she looked over at Ichigo.
"Almost like a sky whale, right?" She gave him a playful wink.
Ichigo leaned his back against it - it was like an old friend, one he knew inside and out, all its little quirks and habits and intricacies. "Almost. It's the closest you could get to having wings yourself, y'know?" He didn't want to wax poetic or anything, but it was true that being in the sky was a pretty damn heady feeling. It was a rush, a thrill that nothing he knew even came close to, except maybe a fight against a really tough monster, where it was kill or be killed....
But he wasn't gonna talk about stuff like that to this girl. He brought himself back to the present, and fixed her with a look. "So, whaddaya want, anyway?"
"Remember not to fly too close to the sun with wax wings..." Yuna whispered with a little smirk that formed as she appreciated the sight of how comfortable Ichigo is with his plane. "Oh nothing! Just checking up on you since your dad really made a big fuss on the Network." She giggled a bit as she remembered how flustered he got a few moments ago.
"Your dad is a really funny person, Ichigo. You are...kinda lucky." This is of course coming from a person who lost her father when she was still just a child. A dad like Isshin didn't seem so bad in her opinion, even if he tends to be a little embarrassing and all.
Ichigo didn't quite catch the whispered commment, and decided to let it go. Oh, so this is because of my DAD. Great. "He - he does that. Always kicking up a huge storm over nothing." He wasn't angry about it or anything - he just didn't feel like talking to people who'd be like, "Hey! Was that your DAD who made that huge post on the network?"
"Huh? No, not really. It was just me, my dad, and my two sisters." He skimmed over mentioning his mother with practiced ease. Didn't want to open up that can of worms on top of all this.

"I bet your ship is named after a girl!"
