About the Future of TST

Hello, The Sky Tides! The mods would like to thank each and every player we've had for making the game a success! That said, this post is about the future of the game. In the past, people talked about the possibility of a reboot, and recently some other players have mentioned their own continuation. Since it seems that everybody has their own ideas ( Read more... )

I would greatly prefer a continuation, but perhaps set on the world below. I, like other people, would be interested in playing much the same characters (or at least two of my current seven-character roster) and I don't want to have to replay the same stuff I have already done to get to the same point I am currently with the ones I would want to bring back.

Since a couple of us were planning such a thing if nobody else was going ahead with it, I'm interested in modding -- specifically in worldbuilding, which is something I actually have experience in. c= Not just that, obviously, I can do lists and such easily enough also and I (usually) operate in a different timezone to the US folks, so that might be helpful?

If a continuation -is- set on the world below, the option to carry on CR or start afresh would be nicer like that -- an option. A whole new world and the chance to either carry on hard-earned CR or start with a clean slate would be preferable to being forced into one or the other, at least from my point of view. Achieving this by adding TST's goings on to a returning character's history section in a new application would be good. That, and it isn't as though the 'natives' of the world below (or the players thereof) would have to know about Reial's history, so that cuts out much of the alienation of new players who might find already existing history overwhelming.

That said, if there is a direct continuation, a new name and set of communities might be a good idea. I know people above are interested in retaining the TST acronym, but the fact that TST is already a well-known game would not help to differentiate a continuation from the old game to new players. The fact that it's well known will probably go a long way to intimidating folks interested in joining a shiny new AU game. And it would be nice to clean-slate the profile page in terms of characters who still have the comm friended even if they've left, and the tags page. XD It'd be nice if the layout could be transferred though. It's pretty.

That's just my opinion, though.
