Prime's decided to listen to his strategists. The crew will be staying together until they reach the Rahki River location, which the Convoy is flying towards at top speed -- except for the Nahk team, which will be leaving ASAP. Since it's the only location not along the fault line, Prime's sending a team to check it out. Five people will go total: two pilots, two passengers, and Sam. Since their numbers will be small, Prime wants to send the most powerful people he can.
