The End of the F1 Season...(2010)

Um... I actually didn't watch the last race...

There were two reasons for this.
1) We had a sleepover for colorguard at my favorite Kim's house, so I was otherwise having a good time with my favorite bunch of ladies. It was a bitchin time to be sure! Her dad made us delicious food, so I had my first good meal in a while. Then we watched movies and colorguard competitions. Man, seeing all these other guards from schools out here and hearing my friends talk about their high school teams makes me realize that my high school really did suck so hard core. No denying. We didn't even place at local competitions! That's how bad we were! And guard never did anything on their own. We always march with the band. Kim and Robin went to state competitions and won them! ACK! But I digress...
2) I really, really, REALLY hate the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dahbi. Having a race there is one of the dumbest ideas ever conceived by the menace known as Bernie Eccelstone. That old man is only concerned with making money. He'd even sacrifice the classic races like Belgium and Monza to make a profit! ARGH!! It makes me angry to no end that he is destroying such a prestigious sport. Not only that, but the track is BORING. It is pretty much a parade, and too slow for the cars. At last at the Korean GP, the track was very quick and it was cool the way the cars sling-shotted off the corners.  Now there's some entertainment! Also, the Abu Dahbi GP takes the place of Brazil as the last race in the calender. Brazil is the PERFECT concluding race! How could you do this, Bernie!?

So I found out from the trust F1.com that it was Vettel who won...I thought this was quite anti-climactic. I was really pulling for Mark Webber to win, because he really deserved the win. He's spent most of his career stuck in the mid pack and now his talent is finally coming out. He's also such a good chap! Mark was really close, but that crash in Korea really damaged his chances I guess...At least Alonso or Hamilton didn't win it. I feel kind of guilty, because Alonso is on Ferrari, and I do love my Ferraris with an undying passion. But...I really do not like Alonso. And he already has two titles.

One of the good things about Vettel winning is that it takes another record away from Lewis Hamilton--that of the youngest World Champion! I think Vettel is only 22 or 23? I can't remember. So that's kinda neat. But...hmmm....

I can't wait for next season! There will be 20 races, and only three months of off season! What a life.
