Aw, dammit, I was so hoping no one would have to ask. Yes, it was John who got shot. Do you think I should edit a bit? I had no one around to test it out on before I posted :(

Well... I'm just kind of out of it today. At first I thought it was Sherlock but then Moriarty says that it's motivation to find him (meaning he's still alive, obvs) and the bit about the bleeding heart (which, btw, is amazing), and I realized it was John. I think I just got a little confused because I thought it was Sherlock at first.

It's really quite great! Don't edit it unless you feel it's necessary. I'm just an idiot today. lol

Hm. If someone else has to ask, then I'll change it. Rereading, I can see how it does sound verrrrrrrry much like it's Sherlock who's been shot. Do you think I could get away with pretending that was intentional? Oh. Not if I post this comment. Ah well.
