I wasn't being politically correct, and that upsets people.

I doubt you will ever end up on the shit!fic list. Something has to blow beyond a reasonable doubt for it to end up on my reviewing list.

This is like the post of long comments, so it is all gravy.

And I am likely to promote you something besides one of my bitches. Like second wife. It's the least I can do if you're willing to stand at the sacrificial altar with me.

See, I don't archive anyone else's work on my website, so I don't really have an avenue to be picky. I wish I did. Instead, I have to go out of my way to read and critique people's work and tell them it sucks, which makes me seem like an even bigger bitch. Which is kind of funny.

And I will take your advice and crosspost to dogged by muses. For sure.

Although, I really, really want to know what sort of whining is going on behind the closed doors of P&P right now.

Second wife? Oooooers...

Yeah, SSP started out as being just my and shatterpath's stuff, then we wanted to add links to our favorite stories/authors, which is what started the archive idea. And then we didn't want to take just anything, so the "pickiness" began. Primarily, I'm the one that runs the site and picks out the stories, as shatterpath sticks more to the writing aspects [due to her dyslexia and lack of multitasking ability]. I keep wanting to find people who are picky like me to help find good stories for fandoms I don't necessarily follow, but most people are too "easy" in what they'll read.

But yeah, I'll be making a post on DBM and my personal journal later today, stating my official intention to start leaving concrit across the board and if people don't like it, they need to note that in their stories [or bitch to me once and then I won't touch their fic again]. Yeah, it means I'll probably get vilified by some people, including those on duvista, but so be it.

Just as an idea. How about a LJ community where you tap authors on the shoulder that you like, respect, and that give a damn, and ask them if they would like to join. It'd be a collection of good writers who can post anything within a set boundry, ie femslash, and expect people to be honest and constructive with their opinions. And have the community pimped. Make it THE place to read good quality fic's - so much that people aspire to be invited in and be alowed to do more than observe and comment.

Of course, I have nothing more than the idea at the moment. No practcal ideas to make it happen. But I'm sure it's possible.
