Took it easy Friday and Saturday. Didn't really do much.
Sunday, I went to another Red Sox game. This time with my Dad and my brother. My Dad's gf got us the tickets for $45 each through her job that included transportation. Had to meet a bunch of people to catch the bus at 11:30am. There were 3 busloads of people!
The ride up wasn't bad. The driver took a weird route, but got us there in time and in one piece. The lot that we parked in charged $100 per bus and they had 4 or 5 buses in the lot. Talk about an easy few hundred bucks. Made our way into Fenway and got some food. Our seats were along the 3rd baseline, but more towards left field. I'd never sat on that side, not had I sat so close to the action. Got a picture of the three of us with the Green Monster in the background. The game was a pretty good pitching duel. The Sox finally broke it open in the 5th inning. Olerud hit yet another home run to right field. Wells pitched a complete game and got a standing O at the end of the game. He deserved it.
Caught the bus back and was home around 7pm. Not a bad day. Actually, it was one of the better memories that I'll have of spending time with my Dad and my brother. My Dad paid for the tickets. We tried to give him money, but he wouldn't take it. He didn't have to do that, but I think he's trying to make up for the past. Things were rocky and we didn't have a good relationship for a while. There was a lot of anger and hurt. But, that's in the past and all is forgiven. Has been for some time know. Someone made me realize that you only have one dad and life is too short, so make the most of the time that you have.
It was a good day.
