Geneticised Skins

Hey guys :)

I got a fairly easy question I hope! I got geneticised skins in my game, some of my sims were born with these and some townies also use some of the geneticised skins. What happens if I pull the geneticised skins out of my game now? Will my sims that already got those skins keep them nonetheless or switch to a default skin or is it something you should never do because the game might explode?
