Clean installer issue

Okay so I recently deleted all of my downloads, everything. Its all gone. So I went back to my favorite places and started downloading the things I wanted. After I was done, I went to install them with the clean installer. Pre-made sims worked perfectly. But the clothes and objects, I cant get them to install. When I click on them it takes me to ( Read more... )

You don't need the clean installer for clothes/objects.

Just unzip/unrar everything until you get .package files, then stick 'em in your Downloads folder. Done! (You may also need to enable custom content in the options/settings menu, if you haven't already.)

Oh okay.
So like if it says "whateverblahblahnamehere.package" just stick it in the downloads folder? I can do that, lol.

yes just unrar them. Yu can also unrar them and you can right click on the folder they are all in and there will be an unstal all option, that will also install objects.
Since you are starting fresh though, if you have EPs past NL, might I suggest getting things started off right and organized? That way, if you get a problem download, it's a little easier to find the problem.

Exactly. .package files don't need any treatment with Clean Installer, just Sims2Pack files. :)

I've been playing Sims for years and never dumped out my whole downloads folder and i just thought it was time. Then when it come to redownloading things, my brain took a crap, lol. :P
