I am alive and well.
We bought plane tickets to get from the Chiang Mai Airport to the Kuala Lumpur airport, then back. Everything else was on a whim. My trip itinerary was as follows:
Thursday: CNX-KUL Flight; Batu Caves; Overnight Train to Singapore
Friday: Wake up in Singapore; Find a ferry crossing to Indonesia; go to Indonesia; find hotel; rent motor bike; putz about.
Sat: Afternoon ferry from Indonesia to Singapore; Overnight train from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur
Sun: Wake up in Kuala Lumpur, Realize we don't have visas to be in Malaysia; visited some temples in Kuala Lumpur; Bus to Kuala Lipis
Mon: Bus from Kuala Lipis to Kuala Temberling to Jurentot
Tues: Bus from Jurentot to Temberling breaks down, we get in the back of a construction vehicle for the rest of the ride; get on a boat and go into the jungle; wander around the jungle for a few hours; car from jungle to Kuala Lipis; bus from Kuala Lipis to Kuala Lumpur; train from the bus station into the main station; stay around in McDonalds for a while; 4:00AM bus from KL Sentral to the Airport to wait for an 8:50 am flight to CNX.
A very busy week indeed.
