SUCH PERFECT TIMING *sarc*

Thanks a lot, body, for giving me the nasty late-night surprise of a cold. It is SO appreciated when Trev's grandfather is on chemo and can't afford to get sick, and neither can Elisa. Shoot, neither can Trevor, but we usually don't catch each other's colds.

My colds are usually super-predictable, and sore throats normally don't attack me until about 6am. It would have been a lot better than this, because now I won't get ANY sleep!

Of course, I'm being super whiny and weepy, as I always am when I get a cold. I was really hoping that I was just suffering from allergies, but when we went to bed and I realized I actually had a sore throat, I just burst into tears, much to Trevor's dismay! I always seem to do that when I get sick. I managed to doze for an hour until the burning and swelling got really bad, and I started getting the shakes even though I wasn't cold. Trevor got up and crushed some tylenol for me (since I can't swallow pills), and I kept apologizing for waking him up. He was so tired! When he gets up in the morning, I'm going to ask him to go get me some popsicles and cold meds. In the meantime, I'm surviving on hot tea and lozenge lollipops.

I'm going to be as careful as possible so that Elisa doesn't contract this cold (or that John and Trevor don't contract it either). I hope it's a short-lived one, because I HAVE had those before!

I guess I'll attempt to doze for the rest of the night. I'm piled up on the couch with a bunch of blankets and I have hot water flavoured with lemon juice on the coffee table next to the laptop. I also have a glass of cold water. Wish me luck! :(
