“Well hello ladies! Good to see you. Ana is out on court 4… brought your own gallery today?”
Airi smiled at the college aged girl behind the tennis club counter, sliding her credit card out and handing it over. “Something like that Sasha… How are classes?”
Sasha took the card, face lighting up at the mention of her schooling. “Amazing! I’m one class away from applying. I love the law books you guys gave me… I’m thinking environmental law, like Erin Brockovich?”
Addy laughed, heading for the door as her sister collected her card. “Great choice. Let us know if you need anything-Klaus, what on earth are you doing?”
“We must clear the area before you enter Ms. Addy. It is our orders.”
Sasha tilted her head, eyeing thee 4 Russians. “Okaaaay…”
Airi waved the girl off, waiting for the men to allow them to exit the club house. “It’s alright Sasha. Nothing to worry about.”
Sasha looked less then convinced but made no comment, watching the women follow the Russians out the door. “…Right, cause everyone walks around with 4 ex-KGB members. Totally normal.”

Addy led her sister out to the court as the 4 Russian men scattered to the wind. Addy was in no mood to deal with the Russians and their over-protective nature, but her sister was all but hysterical after the photo incident, so she tolerated their presence. Ana, their tall and thin former professional tennis player instructor was wrapping up a lesson with 4 high school aged girls when the twins walked up. All four of the girls turned a speculative and judgmental eye on the much older women, and Addy lost what little patience she had.
“What is it girls?” She hissed, lifting the designer sunglasses up so she could lock those shocking blue eyes on the teens. “Our shirts to tight? Boobs to big? Skirts to short? Don’t worry… maybe one day, when you grow up, you too will be amazingly attractive and independent women.”
Airi gaped, thumping her sister on the shoulder. “Are you serious? They just children, lay off!”
Addy gave the teens a feral grin, one shockingly similar to Aveshar, as she set her bag down. “Exactly. They’re just little girls, who need to know their place.”
Airi gave the girls an apologetic look as the fled to a table a small distance away. “Are you kidding Adalia?  What the hell was that about?”
Addy adjusted her tight tank, heading for the court with racquet in hand. “I won’t be judged by little girls who haven’t even grown pubic hair. They need to know their place, and I just showed it to them.”
Airi sighed, rubbing her head. Clearly her older sister was more stressed about this stalker then she was letting on. She’d have never snapped on those girls otherwise.
Ana gave the white-haired woman a look of concern when she walked on the court. “Everything okay there Addy?”
Addy had the balls to look at Ana like she hadn’t just snapped at 4 teenage girls. “Of course, why would you ask?”
Ana glanced at Airi, who shrugged, before turning back to the woman before her. “Oh… no reason. So, let’s get warmed up girls!”

“Shit!”
Ana gave Addy another stunned glance, glad Airi was the faster of the two. She’d been able to dodge the drilled shots so far, but the young woman’s luck was running out. She’d hit the deck on that last shot, the ball barely missing her head.
“What the hell Adalia?!” The red-head barked, hands on her hips. “You’re supposed to hit the ball to me, not AT me!”
“Technically, the point of the game is to hit it away from your opponent.”
Airi’s glare intensified. “I cannot believe the mood you’re in! What the hell is in your crawl today?!”
Addy ignored the question, heading for her water.
“Don’t walk away from me! Damn it Addy!”
Ana watched the twins for a long moment, deciding to gather the tennis balls instead of joining them. These two were total nutcases, and Ana did not feel like getting involved.
“Addy! Addy, stop! Will you talk to me?”
Addy rounded on her sister, scowl firmly in place. “What?!”
Airi sighed, reaching out to touch her sister’s shoulder. “Are you okay?”
Addy snorted, taking a long gulp from her water. “I’m just dandy, Airithn. I have some creep stalking me, and now I have 4 Russians and an over-protective bastard watching my every move. Just fucking spectacular.”
Airi pursed her lips, watching her sister for a long moment. “I know that, and I’m sorry, but snapping at me and the general public isn’t helping! You have got to talk about this! It’s okay to be scared, I’m terrified. You’re allowed to be scared here, this man is threatening you.”
Addy huffed but made no response.
Airi sighed, tugging gently on the long white pony tail laying over her sister’s shoulder. “It’s okay Sis. We’re going to get him.”
Addy watcher her twin for a second before grinning. “Hell yeah we are. We have the biggest monster in the game on our side.”
“Damn right!”
As she leaned forward to pick up her racquet and head back out to the court, Addy picked up a murmured statement from the teens behind them.
“Wow, those ladies are really good.”
Addy gave another feral smile, turning to the teens. “Damn right we are sweetie, we’ve been playing longer then you’ve been alive. Let’s go Airi.”
Airi laughed, following her out. “Have a nice day girls!”

Lesia winced at the retching, holding up Tara’s hair. There was a reason the blond was not in the medical field. “Tara… We should go to the urgent care clinic. You’ve been puking your guts out for hours now.”
Tara waved her off, wiping her mouth with a wet cloth. “No, no… it’s a stomach bug. I’ll be fine in an hour or so.”
“Tara, how long have had this going on?”
The smaller girl shrugged, leaning away from the toilet. “I don’t know… a week or so?”
Lesia’s eye’s widened, staring down at her friend. “A week?! What the hell Sitara? You have got to go the doctor! Throwing up for a week is NOT normal!”
“It only happens once a day, around lunch. It’s no big deal. Besides, I already made an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow.”
Lesia said nothing, but smacked the back of the younger girls head.
“Ow! What the hell Les? Today is not the day!”
Lesia stared down at the younger girl, a shocking idea taking root. “…Tee… have you had your period?”
Tara snorted, lifting herself up off the floor. “I’m a touch late, nothing unusual. I’ve never been all that regular-”
“How late?”
Tara stopped, glancing at the calendar on the wall. “Uh…” Horror crossed the white haired woman’s face.  “2 weeks.”
Lesia sputtered, leaning back onto the wall beside her. “Oh my god Tara.”
Tara shook her head violently, walking out of the bathroom. “No, it’s impossible. I’m on the pill. Bhal always wore protection. There’s no way!”
Lesia shook her head, grabbing her keys. “99% effective on both accounts. I’m going to the store to by tests. You, call your mother.”
Horror crossed Tara’s face again. “There is NO way I’m calling Mom right now! She’d freak out!”
Lesia pegged her with a hard glare. “Then call your brother. I’ll be back.”
Tara stared at her iPhone as Lesia left. Delri was already pissed, if Tara ended up pregnant… He’d loose his marbles. Avant was already on the hunt for her ex, but a positive test would seal Bhal’s fate. Glancing at her flat stomach, Tara placed a tentative hand there. If she was… she’d be thrilled. This wasn’t the way she wanted to go about this but it wouldn’t be terrible. Plucking the phone off the table, she selected her brother and lifted the phone to her ear.
“Delri… can you swing by my store? I need to talk to you.”

“I’ll fucking end the bastard.”
Tara rubbed her eyes, shaking her head. “It takes two to tango Delri. I’m as much at fault as he is.”
Delri paced the small office, scowl firmly in place. “Don’t care. You’re my baby sister, nothing is your fault.”
Lesia chortled, leaning back in the desk chair. “Great logic Delri. 2 more minutes, by the way.”
Delri had burst through the door minutes after Lesia had left for the store, and he hadn’t sat down since Tara had taken the 4 tests eight minutes ago. He was pissed, Tara could tell, but he was also worried. Her twin wasn’t hard to read normally, but when he was concerned, it was written all over his face.
“It’s not like he didn’t wear a condom Delri… We used every protection. Accidents happen.”
Delri made a face, shaking his head. “Don’t need to know the logistics sis.-“
The alarm Lesia set blared through the room, cutting Delri off. The three in the room stared at the bathroom.
Tara swallowed hard, walking into the bathroom. “What does positive look like?”
Lesia picked up the box, “I bought the ones that say pregnant/not pregnant so….”
Tara laughed. “Yeah, I got it.” The silence was deafening as the young woman stared at the tests.
Delri was the first to speak. “Well Tee? What does it say?”
Tara turned to them, a watery smile pulling on her lips. “You’re going to be an Uncle, Delri.”

Chaci winced from her spot at the bar, watching Ty tear his office apart with the assistance of his son in law.
“I know I have the bastards forwarding address here somewhere!”
“Delri has Avant on this too, but if you have his location we can end him quicker.”
“I’ve got to have it. He’s going to want his W2!”
The blond mulled over letting the two men know she’d already pulled the man’s tax returns and found him, when Ty let out a victorious shout.
“I’VE GOT IT!”
Masque shook her head from her spot next to her sister. “Well, now Avant will have a hobby for a little while…”
Chaci eyed her sister, sipping her drink. “That doesn’t sound terrifying at all.”
Masque shrugged. “Well, he’s got this and Addy’s stalker to keep him occupied. He should be far better behaved now.”
Chaci made a face. “The fact that you seem pleased you’re… baby daddy/boyfriend whatever is going to have people to maim is slightly disarming.”
“Whatever makes him happy, Chaci.”
“Murder. Murder makes him happy.”
Masque made no statement to counter her younger sister. “How’s Del handling this?”
Chaci hummed, stirring her drink with her straw. “Well, not as bad as I expected. She’s not exactly pleased, but she knows Tara doesn’t need a lecture. She’s taken her to the doctor to confirm it. Handy that she already had an appointment for today.”
Masque nodded, “What do you think they’ll do about Bhal?”
Chaci shrugged. “Dunno, but Airi is concerned he may come for custody or rights once he finds out. He isn’t the most responsible in the world, so I doubt severely he’d get anything, but you never know. Plus, he seemed real quick to just ditch her when something better came along. I can’t see him becoming Mr. Mom all off a sudden.”
Masque grinned. “Add to this she’s got two sharks for lawyers and a family with more money than the queen of England…”
“More power than the queen too.” Chaci laughed.
Ty and Ash stumbled out of the office, trying not to trip over the boxes and papers littering the floor. “Masque!”
“Yes Ty?”
The tall bar owner slammed a piece of paper down on the bar next to the sisters, grinning broadly. “I found the bastard. Have Avant go kill him.”
Chaci rolled her eyes, taking a bite of her dinner. “Seriously? You’re not even going to give the guy a chance to do the right thing?”
Masque rolled her eyes. “Your grandson gets things from Avant faster than I do, and besides, he’s already on the hunt.”
Ty grinned, bumping fists with Ash. “We’ll see what he decides to do Chaci… He’s got two choices here, help Tara out or not.”
Chaci hummed. “Well… If past behavior is any indicator, I hope Tara isn’t expecting him to shape up.”
Masque wrinkled her nose in disgust. “I never much liked him. He’s abrupt and rude.”
Chaci eyed her fingernails, sighing. “Not much we can do now… She going to call Bhal?”
Ash scowled, crossing his arms. “Yes. As much as it annoys me, he deserves to know he’s going to be a father.”
Ty nodded, patting Ash on the shoulder. “It would have devastated me to not know about my children, He needs to know.”
Ash sighed, reaching for a beer. “Tara will call him when she finds out for sure- Oh, here’s Del, hang on guys. Hello Pixie… Ah, yeah. That’s wonderful. Yeah, I’ll tell them. I love you, all three of you. Bye.”
Chaci smiled. “So it’s official, congrats grandpas!”
Ty beamed. “I am excited, even if the father is a total tool.”
“Well, what has you so excited Ty?”
All heads turned to at the new voice, smiles breaking out across all faces.
“Whistle!” Ty cried, walking over to hug the woman. “Long time no see! What brings you here?”
The small woman smiled, returning the hug. “We’ll get to that Ty. Now, what on earth were you 4 discussing?”
Ty’s smile grew wider. “Welp, I’m going to be a great grandpa again!”
“Oh? How wonderful! Masque, we are just-“
“Ooh no Whistle, not me. Wrong sibling.”
Ash smiled. “Tara is pregnant Whistle.”
Shock crossed the woman’s face. “She is? Is it that man that broke her heart? I hope Avant handles him quickly. Well, no matter. Congratulations are in order! We must have a party to celebrate! It will be wonderful, you’ll see. I’ll get Kel to come out, Aveshar too. This is a happy occasion! I’ll call Del in the morning and we’ll discuss. No arguments. Now, Ty, we need to discuss business. I’d love to know how our new Pinot is doing with your customers…”
Chaci watched Whistle drag off the large man and laughed. “Hey now… A Faythren party sounds like a good idea to me! We haven’t seen Kel in ages. Besides, with all the nonsense going on lately, we need a good time!”
Masque nodded in agreement, sliding off her stool. “I totally agree Chaci. I’m headed home, I miss my babies. I’ll see you in the morning Sis.”
Chaci waved to Ty and Ash, following her sister out. “Yep, I’ll see you then. Love you sis.”
Masque kissed her sister as she headed for her car. “Love you too!”
Chaci glanced down the rows of businesses and smiled. Things were certainly going to be changing around here, weren’t they?
