Summary: Sitara is the sweet, kind girl she's always been and life is... easy. Simple. But things are always changing around her, and maybe its time she changed with them.
A/N: Heeeey, looky. Silver lives and writes! So, these are mostly my OCs, with mentions of La and Xi's too. For my lovelys black_prophet andmyeyeswillclose. Suprise! I hoope you get a giggle out of this!

Heaving the last box on her counter, Sitara wiped the sweat from her brow and scanned the room, grinning widely. It was messy sure, but no one said inventory was an easy task. Beginning the task of emptying this new box, Tara hummed along with the love song station playing through her Pandora account. The young woman was a beauty with shoulder length white hair, and a unique streak of black that was styled to the left side of her face. Violet eyes peeked out from beneath the fringe of her bangs. Tilting her head to shake those bangs away from her eyes, Tara caught sight of photos she kept on the wall of her shop. Her family was an interesting one, but she adored them all the same. She looked just like her father, and had the body type of her mother. Of course, she had six inches on her mother, but her mother was a tiny thing.
The photo of her and her twin brother hung prominently in the middle of the rest, large in comparison with the rest. Her relationship with Delrialto was her most important, the twins having one another’s back no matter what. They would often spend the whole night awake and laughing, or playing as children and that hadn’t changed in their adulthood. They’d been there for break ups, make ups… college and now… children of their own. Well, Delri’s own, but still. Her nieces were little hellions already, who both adored their fathers and mother. Tara chuckled, catching sight of the only photo she had of Delri and Avant… and Avant looked livid. She knew Avant loved her brother, and in his own way he loved his family. He just wasn’t very… nice. Tara really didn’t mind Avant, he’d been more then helpful in her messy breakup after high school, and she knew he liked her enough to tolerate her presence more than the rest of the family.
Settling the new bolts of fabric into the rack, Tara spun on the balls of her feet and bopped along to the music. It was a beautiful day, and the parking lot of the strip mall were her shop was located was beginning to fill up. She knew most of the crowd would be here for the restaurant owned by her father at this time, but she knew a few would wander in for craft supplies soon enough. Her best friend Lesia, who owned the clothing shop two doors down rapped on her store front in greeting as she headed to her shop. Waving, Tara stared out into the lot for a moment. It really was a great place to have her store, and the wonderful landlords, who happened to be best friends with her Grandfather, made the place spectacular. Her grandfather Ty owned a bar at the other end of the mall that would open for dinner and be open late into the night. Maybe she’d buzz by tonight to say hello to him. Maybe his friends would be in making a wine delivery… or even their son.
Shaking her head at her own idiocy, the woman headed for the door to open for the day. The ink had barely had time to dry on his divorce, and she was rehashing a teenage crush.
“Mature Tara.”
“Talking to yourself again Tara?”
Jerking, the white haired beauty gaped for a moment at the twins grinning back at her. “What? Oh god. Hey Addy, Airi. How are you?”
Said women grinned even wider. A beautiful pair, they were sweet and kind, but you did not want to cross these twins. Lawyers for both the Silvara and Fayth families, they were absolutely ruthless and made no bones about it. They looked harmless in their skirts and flowing blouses, but beneath the silk and tweed were two very sharp wits and even sharper tongues.  Addy tended to be the more vicious, which is why she happened to also be the lawyer of her brother’s father in law, Aveshar. The terrifying man actually seemed to like Addy, a fact she took great pride in.
“We’re just fine. Addy has a meeting downtown until late, but all of my clients will be here today, you want to grab lunch?” Airi asked, waiting for said sister to fish the office keys out.
Tara hummed, sliding out her phone. “Dad’s doing that chicken with the mixed veggies you like today, you want to go there?”
Airi swooned for a moment, leaning on her sister. “Ugh, god yes. I’ll get you a to-go portion Addy.”
“Sounds good to me. I’m meeting the prince of sunshine for another one of his corporate takeovers, so we’ll be there all day while he crushes them under his boot.” Addy sighed, using her glasses to scratch her head so she didn’t disturb her perfect up do.
“So that’s why your so done up. Gotta make the big boss man look good.” Tara grinned, leaning against the wall.
Addy snorted, opening the door for her sister. “Bingo. I’m surprised he hasn’t shown up at my place to pick out my outfits yet.”
Airi laughed from inside the office. “You’ve been working with him for so long, you know exactly what he wants you to wear so you don’t get into another argument.” The redhead stepped out a moment later, handing her sister all of the files she needed, as a sleek black limo pulled up to the curb. “Your chariot, sis.”
Addy snatched the folders from her sister with a playful glare, before stepping off the curb and into the car. “Yeah yea… just remember -“
“Extra cheese and no onions. Even if I don’t Ash does. See you tonight!”
Addy waved at the women as the limo sped off, and Airi couldn’t help but laugh. “You know… I said this to Kesha the other day when she brought me the contract for her new home to look over. I’m not sure if they want to stab or screw each other.”
Tara shook her head. “I don’t think they know either. Neither one is exactly normal relationship material.”
Airi nodded. “Amen to that. So, I’ve got real estate contracts to draw up for clients. I’ll text you around noon?”
Tara nodded, heading for the door to her shop. “Sounds good. I’ll see if Lesia wants to join us. Talk to you then!”

“So… is that code for something?” Lesia asked, leaning over the iPhone between the three women that were seated in Airi’s office, eating their lunch.
“I’m pretty sure she’s telling me he’s the king of the shit heads and she hates him.”
Tara nodded sipping her tea. “I would agree, that crown next to poop kind of gives it away.”
Airi laughed, taking a bite of her chicken. “She hates him one second, but would drop everything to help him. It’s so friggin weird.”
Lesia nodded, leaning back in her chair. “You guys still get those random roses?”
Airi nodded, wiping her mouth. “Yeah, we got some last week. There is NO way that’s Aveshar. That so far out from his character. I’ll be honest, I’m like… 90% he hates Addy, but tolerates her because she’s nearly as much of a shark as he is.”
Lesia shrugged, puckering her lips. “I don’t know…I mean, you do get those dead birds still, and you KNOW they’re coming from her…”
Airi snorted, rolling her eyes. “The only thing we get from Ave is money. He wouldn’t give us a clue, forget gifts. You’ve met the guy, there’s a cactus in the office is less prickly then he is.  Plus, we have no proof they’re from her… we’ve pissed off a lot of ex-wives in our day.”
Lesia closed her mouth, but looked less then convinced by the red-head’s explanation.
Tara laughed, crossing her legs. “It’s hard to believe he’s related to Kela and them.”
Lesia nodded. “Ain’t it? I mean- Wait. Waaaaaaait a minute. Kela? You’ve NEVER called him Kela before. Kelakhor, yes. Kel, abso. But Kela? No ma’am.” Her best friend set bright blue eyes square one her. “You’ve got the hots for him again, don’t you?”
Tara choked on her drink, face flushing. “What? No, oh my god! He just got divorced I would never!”
Airi snorted. “Just because he got a divorce doesn’t mean he’s done. I’m divorced and I am NOT done.”
Lesia smirked. “No you are not. You’ve got those fabulous art shows and gallery events to attend with one hell of an art professor.”
Tara smiled, stretching. “Grandpa is pretty awesome.”
Airi purred, leaning into the desk. “Yes he is. Anyway, Kel?”
Tara flushed. “Okay, so I had a crush on him in high school. It’s no big deal, he’s in a different space and so am I. Nothing will come of it.” The smaller woman glanced at the clock. “I need to get back to the shop. Chaci is coming by to help me run my tax numbers. I’ll see you guys at Grandpa’s bar tonight!”
Lesia and Airi watched the girl flee, and sighed in unison. “What are we going to do with them Lesia?”
Lesia smirked, drumming her nails on the desk. “We may have to meddle.”
Airi made a face. “Are you sure? I mean, I JUST filed the divorce. Like… last Tuesday.”
“We’ll ease into it. Don’t you worry Airi, I have a plan.”
“…Right. Don’t worry… have you met me?”

“So, Masque says to the guy ‘I’m not calling you stupid, but when I asked how to spell Mississippi and you replied river or state, I was concerned.’”
Airi, Tara, Leisa and Ty burst into laughter around Chaci at the bar, the blond woman grinning as she popped a bite of her sliders into her mouth.
“I can even hear it in her voice!” Tara chortled, leaning on the wooden surface.
“So, what did the guy do?”
“Cried.”
Ty barked out a laugh, picking up the empty glasses from around the women. “Now, that’s an image. Tell your sister she’s been hanging around my grandson and his husband too much.”
Chaci smirked. “Will do.”
“Speaking of,” Lesia said, sipping her martini. “Where are those three?”
Chaci wave a hand. “My sister went home to be with the girls to spell Delri. Hell if is know where Avant is.”
Airi laughed. “I know exactly where Avant is. With his father, driving my sister insane.”
Suddenly, the glass door to the bar swung open, and in stormed said sister, looking haggard and enraged.
“Speak of the devil…” Ty muttered, walking over to grab the patron from the shelf. “I have a feeling I’m going to be leaving the bottle with her tonight…”
All 4 women eyed the white haired twin as she stomped up to the bar and flopped onto a bar stool.
“I fucking hate him. Patron on the- you’re the best Ty just -“
“Leave the bottle. Don’t worry about that.” The older man muttered, ambling off to tend to other patrons of the bar.
Lesia was the first to gather the courage to ask. “…Rough day?”
Addy let out a hysterical laugh. “Just a bit! You know what’s worse than just Aveshar? Adding Avant! Granted, he doesn’t treat me like dog shit, but still! You know what we did today? BEFORE the asshole completed his EXTREMLY hostile takeover, we went through EVERY department this company has. You know how many departments are in a 20 story building?”
No one spoke, so the woman continued her rant. “50! 50 fucking departments! He had to inspect every square inch of this place! Broom closets, bathrooms, offices EVERYWHERE. He chewed up and spit out about 20 managers, and once he broke the spirts of every member of the board, he signed the papers.”
Airi winced. “Sounds like another Tuesday for those two.”
“Ooooh no. It got worse! He then decided a performance review for every SINGLE employee was necessary. There are 750 people who worked there!”
“I shudder to ask how many are left…” Chaci said, taking a large gulp of her daiquiri.
“Oh something like….375. He just fired people JUST to fire them. He and Avant took turns sucking the souls out of people. And I had to sit there and sign off on all of the broken contracts and act like a total bitch-“
“Not hard for you.” Airi added, grinning at her sister.
Addy flipped her off as she took a shot of the clear liquor straight from the bottle. “And you know the worst part? THE WORST PART?”
“I’m sure you’ll tell us!” Ty called from the beer tap.
“The asshole says to me, ‘Adalia, be a pet and fetch my son and I coffee.’”
Airi snorted, smothering a laugh. “Seriously?”
“SERIOUSLY! I went to Harvard! I have multiple degrees! I’ve won cases all over the damn country, and this MOTHER FUCKER sends me to get coffee?! And he called me pet! What even?! If I have had a way to END him in that moment I would have. At least Avant said to get myself a cup as well! And he held doors open for me! I hope Aveshar gets mowed down by a runaway bus.”
Airi sighed, rubbing her eyes. “Don’t be silly… you know he doesn’t go anywhere near public transport.”
Addy just let out another shriek, throwing her hands in the air.
Tara peered at the older woman, watching her take another shot. “If your this miserable, just quit. “
Addy laughed at that, shaking he head. “I wish. Not happening. I just thank god he doesn’t need me every day.”
Ty chortled, setting a plate of boneless wings in front of his lawyer. “Thank god for that. I need you for my court date with crazy, she’s contesting the restraining order.”
Addy snorted, picking one of the pieces of chicken up with her fork. “Good luck. I have more than enough proof she’s been leaving those rats-“
“’Scuse me boss… The Fayths just dropped off more wine.”
Ty turned then, grinning. “Awesome Bhal, thanks son.”
The five women in varing states of shock and awe stared back at him and the new comer. Smirking, Ty laid a large hand on the man next to him, pulling him forward. “Ladies, this is Bhalrak, my newest bartender. He also works at that motorcycle repair shop down the road. Bhal, these are my favorite girls. My legal counsel Addy and Airi,” both women gave flirty waves. “Everyone’s favorite financial advisor Chaci,” the blond grinned. “The style guru and my granddaughter’s best friend Lesia.” Lesia smirked at the man. “And the craft queen, my darling angel of a granddaughter, Tara.” Said girl smiled sweetly at him, slight flush to her cheeks.
Bhal glanced at each woman as they were named, but his orange yellow eyes settled on Tara and stayed there. “It’s nice to meet all of you.”
Chaci leaned back to stare at the man and Tara for a moment, before grinning widely at them. “Well, hello to you too Bhal.”
Ty glanced between his granddaughter and employee with a small smirk for a moment. “Now that you’ve all be acquainted, you want to help me stock those wine bottles son?”
Bhal turned from the young woman to his boss with a grin. “Sure boss.”
“We’ll be back ladies.”
All five watched the men leave, silence reigning over them for a long moment.
“Good GOD.” Chaci muttered, using the drink menu to fan herself. “He is SMOKING hot, and absolutely into you Ms. Tara…”
Tara stared at the man’s back, biting her lip. He was tall, almost as big as her 6’6” grandfather and just as broad. His hair was sheered short, which set off his fantastic eyes. He was muscly and tattooed and so sexy it should have been a crime.
“And his ass. Jesus! You need to get the digits Tara!” Addy cried, leaning around the others to stare at the younger woman. “Get it guuuurl. Kel who?”
Laughter broke out from all the women, leaving Tara grinning as she caught his eye from the back room. Biting her lip, Tara stirred her drink and gave him a smile. Kel who indeed….
