(no subject)
So, as you might have heard from my last post, I'm still short in the money needed to get myself to the ArLis conference, and I did not receive the travel award I applied for. I am approx. 600-700 dollars short, at least. Yes, I realize this is a large sum of money.
But this is what I am going to do.
Starting Monday, February 14th, every day through the end of the month, I am going to write a poem. But here's the thing: each poem is going to explore the darker undercurrents of folklore, myth, and fairy tales. Because these things I know. And I am getting to this conference with ways I know.
After each poem, there will be a paypal button. If you like something, I ask that you throw a few dollars into the pot. There's no suggested amount, no price tag, just whatever you want to throw in, whatever you can afford.
I realize lots here are also struggling with funds. So, all I'm asking is you help how you can. If that's nothing, I do ask if you could pass this along, and help me signal boost. And by all means, if you have a particular favorite myth or fairy tale, let me know!
