Friday night, we went to Kurt's for a meeting of Steakerson Institute for Advanced Steakology. Good dinner with lots of folks. I totally filled myself with giant pretzel and a huge chunk of roasted pork. It was delicious. And there was really tasty sauerkraut made with riesling. We'll have to try that one...
Saturday, k headed out pretty early for back packing and i wandered around town for a while. I got some apricots at My Dekalb Farmers Market to make apricot butter, but i now feel like they were inferior style apricots. Whatever... In the evening, KAZ and i went to Becca's birthday party. They had Miracle Fruits, which were pretty interesting. They make limes taste really, really sweet. And they make Yuengling taste like carbonated water. And zombies taste like ass... There was also plenty of tasty food. We harvest a few Miracle Fruit seeds, so we'll see if i can make them grow...
