Let's see...
Yesterday, we tried to clean the house up a bit. We made some progress. Most of the boxes are at least out of the front room now. Then we went to Ikea and got some shelving to hold our many and various art supplies.
Today, we went out and k got me a
smoker for my birthday. Cool! Then we shopped around for chickens to make in the evening time. We then went bowling as a celebration of Sam's birthday. I got at least 100 points each game... Observe my competence! Then we had a bunch of people over and i
bbq'd four chickens. They came out pretty well despite the rainstorm. The only problem was trying to crisp the skins at the end. They kept flaring up and burning. But what are you gonna do. They tasted good anyway. k made some cole slaw and corn cobs and a super delicious berry cobbler that i should have taken a picture of but didn't. Here are some bbq pictures.
Sadly, i didn't get a picture of the finished product as it was dark...
Also, the dogs knocked a pepper off of my peter pepper plant...
OH-LOL!
Oh, and double also... We made a chicken stock from the left over chicken bits like so...
4 chickens worth of leftover chicken bits
1.5 gallons of water, about
2 TB salt
1 TB black peppercorns
1 TB garlic powder
1 TB dried onion bits
3 bay leaves
Throw it all in a stock pot and cook for a while.
