Finally some news!
The saying that "no news is good news" certainly doesn't apply to a layoff situation. The last few months have been VERY frustrating, as I try to plan the wedding, not knowing if either of us will have income after June. I would have had to apply for unemployment tomorrow.
However, I got a phone call this afternoon around 4pm - just half an hour before the school offices close for the day.
"Hi, I'm calling from the Ferndale Human Resources office, I'd like to let you know that you've been recalled.'
Hooray! I have my job back.
Actually, since they called today instead of later, technically I never lost my job at all. Weird how that works out...
I'm getting married in 11 days!!!
