Well, I do, it's an exercise is more minimalistic, punchy writing. I don't know if it's any good. I think I probably just wanted an excuse to write paternal!Lestrade. Hm. And brotherly!Mycroft YAY. And it's interesting to see the dynamic of Sherlock's life without John. It's set in the years before John turns up. Though I expect he'll show his face eventually. I think. Anyway, it'll be S/J if it's anything at all. Perhaps with a side order of Mystrade, but probably not.

(I assure you it is not Secret Diary of a Call Girl (even if I do love Billie Piper.) It is gritty and grim and a bit miserable. With drugs. I have no experience of drugs or cigarettes or prostitution or even London (well, not underground London) and therefore I'm probably fucking it up entirely. Huh.
The best thing I can say about it is that the sex in this thing is (relatively, relatively I say!) safe. By which I mean condoms and immunisations, but I'm still a bit worried about it. I don't want Sherlock to fuck through half of London without a condom and miraculously stay clean, but I know what my brain is like and it will give Sherlock hepatitis if I don't watch it.
Anyway, I think it'll be a three or four parter. Suggestions welcome.
(Neither John nor Mycroft nor Lestrade will be a client. (As if any of them would want/need to pay for sex. Ahem.) Also because they are dignified and moral men, etc.
Incidentally, you should all read Bloodstream by ambikai, m'kay? It's one of the very few vampire AUs I've enjoyed (the others are by velvet_mace and bendingsignpost. There are one or two more but I can't think of them right now. ANYWAY, go give her some love. It's a Mycroft/Lestrade WIP, but you'll like it. Mycroft is delicious.)
