i was born without the ability to make sarcasm detectable. its a sad disorder which i have come to terms with and learned to live with.

Sarcasm is incredibly hard for anyone to detect, I think, when not delivered in person or in an obvious satire. And even then, the intent can be hard to read. I recall hearing about some satirical piece in the Flat Hat about how LEGOs were horrible and no one should buy them and EVERYONE took him seriously and thought he was a numbnuts for his LEGO-hating. Two weeks later or so he had to print this big apology telling everyone he was being sarcastic.

And that was in a newspaper! LJ is so fucking moody and dramatical (nice word). Sarcasm detectors are dead in the water.
