more panic

So I'm going through another panicky time. (Actually, is there ever I time when I'm not panicking? I'll have to think about that one for a bit.)

BUT! I have conquered some of the panic by being proactive.

I'm moving to Providence on June 18th (the day the family whose house/pets I am house/pet sitting leave) and shall stay there until July next year. I will not have a car (definitely in the beginning, but I may end up buying/leasing a car in the fall/winter) but the other tenant (in the in-law apartment) will, so he'll be responsible for cat/turtle/bunny food/litter runs. Apparently we need to get fancy organic litter from a farm in Cranston. Should be fun. Also, I'll be responsible for the house, animals, mail, and general upkeep, but I do not have to pay utilites (pretty exciting in my book).

I'm taking Statistics this summer, starting next Wednesday. So I will have to skip snbprov for June and most of July. I will, instead, fill my head with permutations and the like. Fun. Actually, I really enjoyed the statistics we did with Mr. Mac in Analysis, so I'm looking forward to this. Plus, it's a chance to break out my graphing calculator. (Opportunities for that for a Russian major are thin on the ground. Thin in the air. Generally pretty trim.)

lagizma sent me a job listing from craigslist that seems interesting. I'm now attempting to write a coverletter. Ironically, it is for a writing job. Haha. Well, we'll see what happens with that.

Work is relatively slow today. I've had a few bursts of activity (i.e. orders to place), but I haven't had any really good orders (i.e. expensive or weird. Breast implants, anyone?). I've discovered that I have the phone numbers and account numbers (for both Miriam and RI Hospitals) for Abbott Vascular, Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, and Cook memorized. Such that I can start calling before the POs load completely. My notebook is a wonder of color and organization. Which is just ridiculously funny, given the mess that characterizes most of my life.

Irony, thy name is Hillary.
