The mom and I just finished Dan in Real Life, which was quite good. I made good progress on the prayer shawl except for the stitches I kept dropping. :o( Probably due to my like of Dan. :o)
We can hear neighboring kittehs moaning, so Olivia and Cocktail are determined to go outside and fight play with them. But unless they develop opposable thumbs and the ability to open doors, they'll be staying put. On the whole, their interest in shenanigans is actually quite a good thing. Olivia is no longer dying. She still has her coughing bouts, but she's alert and cheerful and wants to play and be petted. I'm glad to see the pills are working.
I worked on my room today until Mom dragged me away to watch a movie. So there is rather less progress than I could have made, but I'm glad that we watched the movie together.
Also, I have discovered the most marvelous drink in the world: hot chocolate from Williams-Sonoma. Amazing! I think some student probably gave it to the Mom for Christmas. I've just googled it, but it appears to be a seasonal thing. I don't know how I will live once it is gone.
I'm having dinner chez Hancox/Nugent tomorrow to discuss the possibility of becoming a pet whisperer for the next year. Here's to hoping!
:o)
Oh, yeah, and I totally vetoed (re)reading Devil's Flu today. I am a bad student! I'll take it with me to work tomorrow and peruse during my (very lengthy) free time. And we have so many presentations to get through tomorrow that I doubt we'll be discussing it anyway. :o)
