...NEWSFLASH. NEWSFLASH.
SO. mum comes in talking about how she heard some strange creature walking around in our backyard.
I'm having a supernatural paranoia attack.
SHE WANTS US TO GO UNLOAD THE GROCERIES FROM THE CAR.
EDIT: (9:21 PM) OKAY.
so while I was getting groceries from the car, I heard what sounded like screaming, froze on the porch, and listened to it for a second before quietly walking back inside and having a minor panic attack in my kitchen. then I told mum and dad about it, and mum, rosie and I went outside with flashlights to look next door, where it sounded like the sounds were coming from. we couldn't see anything but their dog Calvin, he it sounded like he was choking on something.
so we go back inside and I call them nextdoor to ask if everything was all right, because I was pretty freaked out.
turns out they'd been hearing a huge pack of coyotes in the woods, howling and fighting over something. the screaming I heard was Elise, who was panicking because she was afraid they had one of her cats. fortunately, they found Taffy and brought him back inside. Calvin was choking because he'd been pulling at his leash and barking at the coyotes in the woods.
so yeah, rosie and I brought in all the groceries, talking very loudly to each other so that any animal around us would run away and swearing that the instant we actually heard the coyotes we'd be back inside and nothing would get us back OUT tonight. fortunately, we didn't hear any. XD
