lalala
i cant believe christmas break is almost over. im excited to go back, but then again, i dont want the SCHOOL part to start again, since i have to work my BUTT off even more this semester.
its been a damn good break though. the first four days sucked, then i visited dan in clear lake for a few days. went home and from the 24th-26th i was in davenport/bettendorf, livin it up, multiple christmas style.
thennn, dan came to ames for a few days before i left for HOUSTON! my plane left at 7am from the des moines airport with half of the iowa state marching band. the second half left at 8. so la-de-da, did stuff in houston, lots of marching practices and A TOUR OF NASA (sweet). the bowl game was on new years eve. we lost but oh well, life goes on. it was a close game!
i had originally thought i would be getting home from houston at like 4am, because of how they were setting up the flight departures. luckily, i found out the DAY BEFORE leaving for houston, that i would really be getting back to des moines at 10pm, which means...YAY! NEW YEARS FOR ME! dan picked me up from the des moines airport and he and i partied it up at his sisters house in des moines. the next day we hung around downtown, and went to the capitol, spaghetti works, and other places.
dan took me home, and he stayed another night in ames. then i went back to clear lake with him for a few days, hung out with people, etc. and now im back home in ames.
phew. very eventful, very fun. why does it have to end! (i just pray i dont have a new roommate waiting in my lovely single dorm room when i get back! EEK)
