its a test of time
a time for a test
i slipped at the drop of a dime
giving up my rest

maybe it's a sign
a little something along the way
a little peace of mind
that I made a mistake that day

and to which day I refer
I cannot tell you which
somedays I'd prefer
to make a life long switch

perhaps I've found myself
became a whole woman
stored away in my consistent life shelf.

mistakes were made
but none I can tell
memories and feelings will fade
no matter how hard I try hold on or how well

wishing and hoping alone the truth will stand
