i'm back! and safe!
the experience started out being so-so but ended up being great (mostly because i started opening up to new people, i guess). i'm really happy i went and i already miss my bus. what?! that's right, r. seidel really does have a heart. who knew?
i have a billion photos to share with you but not a way of doing so. don't worry, i'll find one.
every year, when i'm about to leave for a summer experience, i underestimate how special it is to have the opportunity of leaving my "bubble". it's always a fresh breath. i do love it.
so some of you might be thinking, "wasn't there a huge war going on over there?" well, yes. there was and there is. the thing is, we had an organization leading us and that organization knows how to keep its people safe. at times we knew that missiles were coming down just a couple dozen miles away. and yet, my friends and i didn't feel a thing. i'm talking about when we were at this pseudo-army basic basic basic training. we ended up leaving after three days, instead of five, because some people and their mamas weren't feeling it - us being so far up north. don't worry though, i did get the chance to shoot that little m16. that's right... xcore.
enough rambling for now. i want to see you home people. let's go. it's time. and if anyone from emarba is reading, write me a line every once in a while. please.
that's all. see you all soon.
love,
ron
