And sing with love at our throats [like a child].

"And I swear, I SWEAR not to scream at my becoming part of the machine!"

..and I swear. I swear. Not to scream at my knowledge of understanding my transformation from human being to machine. That's a strong line/lyric to me that barely, and I mean barely, anyone can understand. "Oh quit it Phil, you aren't a machine." Sure, I've heard that many times. When, though, have I heard anyone actually say that to themselves? Or perhaps try and take a step to the left to at least try and see what it is I see.
Problem is, no one will probably ever see what I see. I could continue this rant, but perhaps it's best I don't. Not now anyway.

I haven't posted in this thing in a while. Seems Jenny's back and hopefully stays. Gotta keep livejournal alive for some period of time, no? And Cris, my little vampire has gotten the last post on livejournal as of late, but! I'm back too. Posting. Now reply all! Muhahahahaha!

Let's do a little catch up.
~~~ February 16th (it was the 16th right? o.O), Ghostbox returned to Coffee House for a second straight year, this time with a newer attitude, new band members, and newer material. I felt content about the performance, but disappointed at the same time. Yeah, we messed up dirty at the end. Everyone says all is forgiven, but as a musician and artist, I weigh myself down so much. I expect a certain level of performance. I believe that's a level I will probably never see, yet I will be setting foot on it.. if that makes any sense.
The great part was we got to play with Rawvia and Kill Jasper! The dudes from Rawvia gave us props, and that meant a lot, just as it did last year when Matt Burns from USH gave us props. The con of the night; damn ska bands. I love ska music, but damn ska bands.
~~~ February 24th, we got to travel up to West Palm Beach to play Ray's Downtown! That weekend, bar none, was just pure greatness. As always, there were the pros and cons, and a lot of the cons outweighed the pros, however, my weekend could not be completely messed up due to one specific event which will go unmentioned. ^^
Evidence of Fire was there, and they played such a great set. It was rather inspirational in the sense of striving to have that kind of creativity and energy. Traveling with a band, and doing the band thing traveling, is fun. Especially when you got most of the right people with you.

~~~ TASTE OF CHAOS. Oh my. God. Aiden! Again! Aiden never fails to let me down, I promise you. We missed the beginning of their set, but made it in time to hear 'We Sleep Forever', and witness The Wall of Death. Get this. Cris and I both got into the biggest mosh pit of the night. Yep, a pit Aiden created. My baby lasted in that pit and shoved people and all that jazz! My girl's hXc! Rawr!
Also got to meet the band again, and Angel had remembered me. That was a shocker in my own eyes. wiL and I actually engaged in conversation, so that right there alone made my night.
We also caught Saosin (my second time seeing them), Chiodos (they we're pretty good, just as I thought they'd be), and Senses Fail who's breakdowns were sick as hell! It was disappointing though when they didn't play my favourite song of theirs, All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues. The Used wasn't too bad, they weren't great, but not bad. We didn't stay long for them at all. 30 Seconds To Mars though, I wish would get sent to Mars. They were horrible. They were horrible potty mouths.
In other light, in response to Jenny's reply to my comment on her first livejournal entry -- we do have a song titled "There's Beauty In The Breakdown", however it's been retitled to There Is Beauty In A Breakdown. It's a play off the word 'breakdown' which is a music technique which my band and I love to use a lot, yet it also has to do with the breaking down of one's self, or one's emotions and so forth. So while the song does have to do with seeking beauty in someone's misfortune, it's also a more hardcore-ish song built mainly of breakdowns. =) Clever? ^^
WARPED TOUR is coming up! As I Lay Dying, Underoath, The Almost, Escape The Fate, Norma Jean, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, etc etc etc etc etc!! Only problem: None of those bands are going to the Miami Date. What the fuhk?! That means, we're probably gonna have to go up to Orlando! Word.
