Dollhouse raises interesting questions for me. A character is given their original personality back in the most recent episode and kills a man, a doctor that, before she went to the dollhouse, force-fed her medication to make her psychotic so he could keep her in his psychiatric facility because he's obsessed with her. After killing the Evil Doctor, she tells Topher that after the five years she's supposed to be a doll, he deletes the day she killed a man from her memory when she's finally released as her original self.
The question it raises in my mind is this: How much must it suck to have to be one of the stewards of reality? Topher knows everything the dolls have to do. And while she won't remember afterward, Topher can never forget.
It must be a terrible burden to know every secret but be unable to talk to anyone about it, because they don't remember.
