I baked cookies to bring to the party tonight, very happy with how they turned out.
There are these things you can buy now called "Magic Eraser". They're sponge-like things for getting marks and dirt off your walls, they apparently remove crayon, which is supposed to be an amazing thing. Anyway, I keep finding places that have little marks here and there, or "wear" spots where there was a piece of furniture that rubbed against the wall and is now gone. It really does work great on most things. Pretty cool.
I've spent some time on moving, hanging and rehanging art. I got some stuff from Dean Gallery earlier in the week, so I've enjoyed the combining of new and old. What's funny is, I don't think most people will notice much of a difference when they see the place. The living room arrangement is essentially the same, with only minor changes in furniture and art. The sewing room is pretty similar, but without the bed, plus the addition of the fish tank and the most "new" art. (New in quotes as it's all stuff I've had for a long time, but never had framed.) The bedroom has a new bed, and I still have to rearrange some of the art in there. Though it also has the famous shelf that I stained and polyurethaned.
