I heard a fifteen year old radio commercial today!
See, back in the late '80s, there was a heavy metal radio network out of Texas called Z-rock. And they played this series of ads for RADD - Rock Against Drunk Driving. There was a particularly amusing one that some of my friends quote to this day: Ozzy Osbourne saying, "For many years I've had a drink problem, and I've had to battle that problem every day." While driving around delivering today I had the Al Franken Show on and in the middle of a commercial break, I suddenly heard that ad. Apparently, Ozzy's recent resurgence in the social consciousness with the reality show made someone decide to pull this ad out and use it. And from what I hear of the show, who'd know the difference? Cool!
Now I just wish I could hear the ad with the guy saying, "But boss, he's got EPILEPSY."
