---From now on i'm only gonna post pics That were either taken in or pertain to our Little central Illinois area. A good idea? I think so.
---The website has begun, but i need pics of every local band..ever...I Know a few of you have a lot-lot-lot of pics. If you'd be kind enough to share, please email me at
templeton100@yahoo.com or comment here. Any helpers will be credited.
---Arsonick Scum amazes me...check
this out. He's got something else cool going down also, in his own posted words---
Just to let anyone who might be interested know, folkmetalrecords.com is available to let you know about the latest breaking "news" involving Demolition Derby, Super88, Analog Saves the Planet, ArsoNick Scum, The Buttermilk 5, and the Bloomington/Normal Radio program, Motivational Karaoke.
Also, if anyone is interested, FlyTV will be showing at the Normal Theater in Normal on Wednesday, Sept. 29th at 7pm and will feature new music videos by Analog Saves the Planet, ArsoNick Scum and documentary footage from Dudestalk '04.
I'm gonna go to this, though i'm not exactly sure what it's about. Also, ArsoNick Scum was one of the guys who were involved with
T&T Mag (which was the publication many people compared the idea for The Sea-Cow to...though we've yet to publish...big news there, but i've learned my lesson about posting dates).
---Also,

The website is cool...but is that chicago in the background? It's certainly not Peoria. where's the hometown pride??? question this at
theforecast@msn.com.
Jared Grabb's no longer part of the band as of Aug. 15th (it's a voluntary thing, he's got liek 6 bands, and they're still cool), but is Marsha Satterfield still with em? I wouldn't think so, as many of the tour dates are skool-dayz. (also, the band signed one post "dustinmattshannontony".
---GO check out the new track by The Bugs, "Anybody List".
Just click on MP3 once you get to
The Bugs site! I mentioned once before that Jeff Phelps IS The Bugs, and that the original other members are in Cali, Here's the site for their Cali-band
Occupants of Six Across. ---Scout's Honor (the band Mr. grabb seems to be focusing on) has a few shows coming up:
09-10-04- Peoria, IL at VFW 8662 (1111 S. Western) with Dead Like Dallas, Believing in June, and Of Parting Words. 7PM. $5.
09-12-04- Alton, IL at Camp Climax House with Camp Climax for Girls and The Forecast.
09-24-04- Peoria, IL at ??? with Camp Climax for Girls and Blad Eagle.
Now, I go to a fair amount of shows, some of which are Jared Grabb related shows. And almost always the bands he's in are entertainign and high energy. The crowd gets into it and it's a lot of fun...BUT the forecast cd's I've got, and the solo Grabb cd i've got, and the earlier line-up scouts honor cd I've got all fail to reflect the energy and fun of his live show stuff...why is this? I mean, they're not bad cd's, they just aren't as grat as the live stuff. More to the point, why doesn't he ever release a live album. That's what i want. Think about it folks, and then
ask him. BUT, Scouts honor IS releasing a new split studio album w/ burning Love Letters (with the great two-man line-up and art by former washington wild-man
Grant reynolds (look at that link!). So look for that, also They are also still shopping "Roots In Gasoline" to record labels and hope to have it out by late winter. Either one of these has the potential to buck the trend i spoke of above.
I'm Not allowed to say much (or anything) about this but
The Suit & Tie Guy is working on another project. keep your eyes pealed, thats all i'll say (other than it's good). To Get down with the STGB experience go to The Red Barn (located on Glen) betwixt 9Pm and 12:30am (maybe 12, i'm not sure). Trust me, it's a lot of fun, a good time (but if you're under 21, don't try and drink, that makes the sea-cow hate you)!!!
