The New Plank Road Pub Promoter

Brody Maag, of Super 88 (who's b-day was yesterday, saturday) told me (as i crashed his party and ate his food) that his plans for booking punk night at the Plank Road Pub aren't really defined yet. He wants to book "something like 2 shows a month" and to work on the payment, as steve-o made "nothing" and "those people were making a lot of money off that (the punk night)".

"It might not have made a huge turn out, but the people were all drinking." To Keep updated on plank road pub's stuff, go to www.punkrocknight.com/

Dave Moe Impresses me..again

Aparently Dave Moe makes soundtracks to 70's blaxploitation flicks...which don't exist. As in, soundtracks without the movie. I don't know if you can get any...but there may be a deal coming up wherein they'll be partialy released, we'll see.

Just a Reminder

The sea-cow WILL be out at one of these shows...and it WILL give out a coveted "Prize-in-a-Plate" at random...even if it kills us...

I've never heard any of these bands exept STGB, and they are good. This show might be more your taste if your tired of straight rock, i dunno. All i know is that If i were to be in town, i'd hate to have to choose betwen this and yardfest. This is why Peoria Shows was created, so there isn't any double booking stuff...but perhaps this was a calcutlated effort on Jason's part to spite the Ham-o-watts? You'll notice they bill themselves as "in the vein of Postal Service". "hmmnnn," i say.

Jp

Ps-- yes, Los Straijackets and the Presidents rocked in decatur yesterday. Thanks go out to Tom Satterfield, Trish, Neilz, Steve, and Ryan for hooking The Sea-Cow up and transporting us for the combined total of a three hour drive. Let's go Nerd-Herd!!!
