Yesterday was 90 degrees in seattle. Rejoice!
Took awhile to get Danny out of bed, got a cooler and blankets and short shorts together and headed out to get Lis, beer, coke and snackies and then Rosie. Off to Madison Park and got a bomb ass parking spot by...moving a no parking sign which was clearly unimportant. Found Tim among the hipsters and the hollister/juicy covered crews.
Lis and Tim have been involved in an intense Tan-Off since summer began, so they both competed all day with the tanning oils and big talk. :)
5 hours of hot hot sun, nice swimming, great people watching and lots of false alarm rescues all to a thrown together summer day soundtrack while eating avocado sandwiches and coronas is all i need. ever. in life.
Got slurpees and taco time, came back to the bertona loft and put up the badminton net! Played until we couldn't
see the birdie anymore, took showers and then around 11 went to Whym, which is where minnies used to be, Tim had delicious biscuits and gravy, my 'skillet' wasnt so amazing but its pretty nice in there. We gave it a few months. We all dozed through There Will be Blood and went to bed like snoozy puppies.
This summer is not so bad so far.
