i've recently come to the conclusion that all women everywhere should go on strike -- we should refuse to have sex with any man until some scientist person invents a form of hormonal or long-term birth control option for men

Gee golly, you've had a lot to say. I will try to address your points in the order you brought them up.
1. All sorts of different methods, eh... coughwhorecoughwhore. Well... not really, but now that we've got that out of the way, we can have a semi-serious discussion. 2. Considering a big point of your post is the gap between the forms of male birth control and female birth control, I don't think you get to say that you've tried condoms. You've had your male friends try condoms... that or you tried that female condom, which, if so, props to you, that thing seems scary and expensive, but a possibly good option
( ... )
6. You know what, there might be a whole lot of ridiculous side effects for women's forms of birth control, but until those side effects are "doesn't enjoy sex", I think men have got you beat. ...And if your side effects do include that, then, well, we're in this together now. (God, I feel like a high school jock, "nah babe, I totally can't wear a condom, y'know? It'll, like, make me sick... and you don't want that, do ya babe? C'mon, it'll all be okay, I promise to pull out.") 7. According to the Ontario Women's Directorate, the pill costs $15-20/month, a condom costs $1, so if you're having sex more than, oh 17 times in a month (and twice in a night counts as twice overall), the cost is the same. 8. You just proved point #5 for me. We don't even have the option of all those sorts of forms of birth control (so, again, like I said in #5: fuck you
( ... )
1. just because i have tried many methods of birth control does not mean that i am a whore. in the five years that i've been used birth control, i have slept with as many people, so you calling me a whore is not even valid here. i have tried many kinds of birth control because i have had so many bad experiences with different kinds. excuse me for not wanting to get pregnant

1. Come on. I'm kidding. ...Just like a whore to get all uppity and offended.
2. Pff. Then I've "tried" the pill. It absolutely is who puts something in or on their body. You've tried using a condom as the method of birth control in a sexual encounter, you haven't actually used a condom [on your penis]. Also, twenty minutes, ha.
3. I do see why you're angry. You've been pretty royally screwed. And I don't think I'm capable of truly comprehending the position you're in. I just live life in ignorant bliss, assuming every woman is one some sort of presumably hormone-based birth control.
4. I really didn't realize the hatred of condoms went to both genders, I've learned something reading these responses, who knew (though it would explain a lot). And while sure, you can't trust condoms, to be fair, you can't trust a whole lot when it comes to sex. You can't trust that fucking without protection will get you pregnant when you're trying for a baby. You can't trust someone who says they're "totally clean" (except, just for the

I don't think I could handle the strike. But I can't take any pills either. my joints swell. So painful I can't even walk up and down stairs for fear my knees will burst.
I didn't read all of what Jerm said but I would like to point out that condoms dull sensation for EVERYONE. and those "for her sensation" type condoms are really not doing their job. Condoms blow mighty chunks.
My doctor has also recommended an IUD but I am too afraid to actually go through with that. The idea of causing myself discomfort, infection, or infertility seem to crush my sexual appetite.
i'm pretty afraid about getting the iud too. but, i'm getting it done at the hospital with plenty of mind and pain numbing drugs, so i figure at least the insertion should go smoothly.
it's probably awful to say, but my fertility isn't really that important to me. i'm not looking forward to the probable constant pain i'll be in for a few weeks/months, but i figure an abortion is probably pretty painful too, and if i got pregnant, i'd have to go through that anyway. it sucks, but i really don't want to get pregnant.
Actually its strange, i was just thinking about why they dont have some sort of pill for men that will just stop the production of sperm or something. That would be sweet!
