Really having some conflicting thoughts...or rather...I want to continue to study with Sadia until I finish from her program (all I need to learn is the level 6 drum solo and I can move to the last level-7) but I feel I need to do things without her too at the same time....
a) my dance resume...I hate to admit this but it's the ugly truth...despite being a knowledgeable teacher putting or mentioning her name on anything is instant death here and she doesn't realize it...
b) she recommended me to some restaurants but doesn't include bolbol (which is funny because he has asked her about me lots of times and we're both persian and I can do persian dance) because she wants to strike a deal with the studio but at the same time she says she's leaving japan to be with rogear by the summer hopefully. I think I have the right to approach them anyway I won't undercut we all ask for 15,000 yen...this already makes it tough is that there are sooooo many cheap dancers or worse ones that dance for free.
There's more of course but I feel I want to finish but also carve my own path. I was all ride or die for the studio but since everyone takes private lessons there are no interactions between us and I know this studio will end. At the same time she wants to get me started teaching but I don't think I can attract students to her studio either -_-;. Also I don't like these 'plot' driven happyokai/hafla- I think they distract what we are learning (I don't want to waste time off the program to learn stuff for these shows) and are embarrassing because we are NOT trained thespians.
In positive news Artie came to me to ask if she could sleep at my place to save money and because my place is walking distance to Izumi's studio! Ozma, you are coming for home cooked persian food when Artie is here!
I'm excited for the show in the states but I have the sneaking suspicion that even though she asked me to dance at the gala show I'm gonna have to pay the $50 (added to hotel and day festival and workshop costs) and I really really really don't have the money >
dance.
