Today, when I was in the shower at 6:30 AM staring at the ceramic tile on the wall, I finally gained a better understanding of object relations theory.
It's weird when all of a sudden these esoteric (granted, object relations at its most basic level is rather straightforward.. , but what happened to me resulted in something beyond this straighforwardness) become accessible. I started viewing things differently. This has happened several times in my life. I begin to understand these new concepts (or at least gain insight into the complexities involved) and how I perceive the world around me changes. It's a different feeling, but I like it.
