"...that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but which is proper for a women professing godliness..." -1 Timothy 2:9-10
i'm sure we all know these verses, but do we act like we do? Girls especially, we need to not worry so much about how we look, what brand of clothing we have on, or how good our makeup/hair is! The world shows us women that are "beautiful" (and many times fake)and we think somehow that if we don't look like them we are "ugly" and boys won't be attracted to us, but this completely wrong. The man that God has for you will be attracted to you because of your godliness, God will give him eyes to see you like Jesus does, and Jesus sees you as beautiful. Of course there is initially some physical attraction, but in the long run, 25 years down the road, neither you nor your husband (generally) are going to be looking very good, "beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be greatly praised."
just been on my heart. 80% of girls ages 14-25 have an eating disorder. why do we worry so much about earthly things that will mean nothing in eternity?
