Ah yes, my ever infrequent livejournal updates. Maybe one day I'll write something with several sentences more than a handful and we'll all be very impressed.
I have been one busy lady, I had to sacrifice my column this week for the paper because I didn't have a spare thought for what I could possibly write. I did a series of articles on sexual assault, however, which got picked up by the Canadian University Press and those'll tide me over in writers' happiness for awhile. Maybe now I can write something frivolous, like an in depth piece on corduroy. I campaigned and won the election for the Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union Board of Directors (WLUSU BOD for short), many excellent opponents and it looks like we have a stellar board for next year. Laurier has one of the leading student unions in the country and it's a 10.5 million dollar company, so I get to sit in big cushy sex chairs and make decisions about the money. I do not, however, get to have sex in the cushy sex chairs because apparently they keep the board room locked at night. (I'll see about that!)
Life here is frigid at the moment, but warm at heart. Living with Cat has been a confusing delight this year, but I'll be moving on to another apartment come end of summer. We'll be heating things up with a performance of the Vagina Monologues on March 10th and 11th - I have the "Bob Liked to Look At It" monologue, it's pretty toasty. They also gave me the "classy orgasm" at the end of the show because I drink San Pellegrino and aspire to classes beyond my measure.
My birthday was wonderful and my mom is getting my tickets to Wicked in November and I am ever so pleased because I know the lyrics off by heart. I'll sit front row and creep the actors out by mouthing the words along with them - just to let them know how passionate I am.
Working is interesting, I love my bosses when they're chilled out and they're lunatics when it's busy. Tiny Indian restaurants warrant a lot of yelling it seems. Serving is an endeavour everyone in the world should have to undertake - it leads to a better understanding of humanity.
And... that's about it. Photo update!
That'd be Rachel, Kara, myself and Sonal - all of whom gave me wonderful kisses and wonderful dances on my birthday!
Cat & Kat.
The boyfriend, Doran. (I encouraged him to buy that jacket even though he doesn't like herringbone, but I DO have better taste than him. He refused to purchase it when we were in the store and then prior to the party, without having anything to wear, went back and got it.)
Darrell & Courtney, my gay boyfriend who has better taste than anyone.
