We danced together.
We sang together.
We hung decorations to expand seasons.
Never more will you need to listen to my draw.
It started small, the way you smiled and nodded in my pain.
It began to grow, a call missed night to day.
It expanded south, an aching through my legs.
It expanded north, a tear feeding off my dred.
Then east to west it went.
My arms shall not embrace.
My heart shall undergo its own descent.
Nothingness has spread, love not being left a single trace.
God gave me the world to have.
I gave it to you without thinking again.
I knew not that my simple world would embody a guppy's end.
